Clearance LED Bulbs

Found that energysavingled are selling some of their LED Bulbs on Ebay really cheaply. You have to buy six but it works out as £2 per bulb. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231299269576?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Anyone know the reason for them selling their stock so cheap as i bought these bulbs for full price and they are very good? Financial issues?

I've bought products from them and they were great. I've talked about a couple of other companies numerous times too, must be a busy chap if i own/work for them all? Feel free to delete the thread, especially if you feel your conspiracy theories are about to blow your mind.

Thanks for posting - I have bought the 7W ones before and they are good.

Great price for 6 of these, have just bought to replace some of the older mini fluorescent type ones

    Who makes them?

    Are they certified?

Sometimes safety is just as important as money saving, and at £2.50 a bulb I would doubt their quality.

If I could see a brand I might check them out and give them a chance, but as they are not I would give them a miss myself. There are too many cheap foreign fire hazards out there and people should not be buying them.

Look for reputable brands, safety certification, and walk away from anything that feels dodgy.

The low price is only due them being clearance. The ones i bought were £10 each. I don't know why they are clearing them or who makes them.

I doubt it is only due to them being clearance. If you paid £10 before then it just means you paid more for an unbranded bulb with no traceability.

When there is a brand then somebody is accountable, with nothing printed on them they could be laid by robot chickens for all we know.

More than likely cheap Chinese rubbish with no guarantee, personally I would only buy branded makes, although this is MSE sometimes it pays to be more aware that cheap is not always quality and safe.

I posted here yesterday but it seems to have been deleted - anyone want to let me know what rules I broke?
elstimpo also posted and his post has gone. He owns EnergysavingLED.com and has declared such plenty of times on this forum, at the same time as giving advice.
I said in my post that I have ordered these bulbs and will give feedback on them when they arrive.
He doesn't sell cheap rubbish, I've got his spot LEDs in my bathroom. His deleted post stated that these bulbs are old stock that he's getting rid of. That means that you can have brighter, more efficient bulbs for more money, not that these are cheap rubbish.
I'm not a spammer, I don't work for elstimpo, and I'm a long time forum user. I've bought stuff from him that I've liked and I've shared my own personal experience, and given plenty of advice. I'd like a bit of dialogue before my posts get deleted next time!
