Flying visit this evening. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment!

Managed to burn my hand tonight on steam when cooking tea  quite painful and I have now have a lovely red finger :(

In slightly better news, an OP made today of £17.30 which was made up from £12.85 from PB survey payment and the rest from TCB.

Is it the weekend yet? :o

Ouch, hope its not too painful.

Overpayments made of up free money is great, you work so consistently attacking your mortgage.

Thanks Cath. It's better today :) I don't feel consistent but I definitely try! ;)

Average day at work. Nothing to report on the survey or OP front today. Oh the excitement ... :rotfl:

    Morning

It's been a busy week in BW's world. Lots going on... and some of it spendy :o

New mattress has arrived. I think I like it...feels very different to the old one and so may just need to get used to it.

I have booked a week off in July :T Needed something to look forward to (and will be my first week off since Xmas ). I wasn't going away but have decided to have a few days away doing the touristy thing visiting a couple of castles that I have always wanted to see. Staying in some pub B&B's...gonna do my own version of Four in a Bed :rotfl:

House insurance has been sorted. I didn't want to move it but previous Insurer wouldn't budge on the premium so I moved it as saved 25% which was too much to ignore. I'm also due £40 cashback on the new one - so fingers crossed that comes through at some stage

Some of you may remember that I was on the look out for a new hairdresser. I've gathered a short list but decided to test the one closest to where I live first (it's walking distance so seemed to make sense). They did an ok job I think. I will try them at least once more before I decide whether to try somewhere else

Surveys are ticking along in the background - £20 voucher claimed from one

Nothing else to report on the OP front. It's that before payday lull in the month. All being well, should be able to get through to payday which is on Thursday

Gonna grab more :coffee: and try and catch up on diaries

    Have a lovely Sunday

Now relaxing and catching up on some tv viewing. I may be a bit late to the party on this :o but I've developed a bit of an obsession with The Chase - love it! Although always easy to play along from the sofa :rotfl:

Me too! I started watching it when I went to tea at my Nanna's and now if i'm home on time I always put it on. My other 'obsession' is Once Upon a Time on N*tflix. I can't stop watching it.

Well done on the op's and I hope you get used to your mattress soon (if not my Mum swears by her memory foam mattress topper).

Hi Bookworm - all seems to be well with you. Just wanted to give you my sympathies over having to find a new hairdressers. I have been going to mine for over 20 years, have moved salons with her twice and now drive 20 miles to her to get my haircut. Would be distraught if she retired!

Bamburgh and Alnwick are the current thinking

I've never watched that - will check it out next time I start up N*tflix. I am waiting for the next season of OITNB

Thanks MG :) I hope I don't need a memory foam topper though as it's a memory foam mattress I've just ditched :rotfl: sorry :o

Thanks Pushkin. Yes my previous hairdresser had to retire unexpectedly due to a sudden health issue. I've been going to them for around 8/9 years and so it was a bit of a shock having to look for a new one. I hadn't realised how 'easy' they made it for me until I've come to use a new one and you have to 'start over'

:o More spending...this time on a small side table that I happened across...that will be perfect for my lounge. However, I used a cashback site and paid for it with N*cter points... so does that still count? :p

I've been with my hairdresser for 35 years! She says she'll still do my hair even if she retires
