Afternoon ladies, I hope everyone is well. A plumber is supposed to be coming to fix the toilet later today so please keep your fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive! _pale_I'm sorry that I've been AWOL. My cat was hit by a car last week and she died. I adored her - she really helped keep me company, especially when I first got ill and hadn't a clue what was going on. She was very much 'my' cat (we have three others). She was called Willow, hence my user name
. I know that a lot of you will understand the deep sadness of losing a companion like this. I will miss her like mad.
Sending you huge hugs.
Just been going through all my make up and I feel slightly sick about the amount I have. Especially the amount I have that I have never even used. I remember when my make up collection consisted of one make up bag - it is now in a set of 6 drawers, a make up bag, plus some overspill!! I love having the choice and it is nice to have a collection but I feel so guilty at the amount I have spent and the debt I am in, especially as I bought most of it is over the past few years. No one else knows about the sheer volume of stuff I have because I feel so ashamed
Right, I'm off to scrub the lavvy before the plumber arrives!:rotfl:
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
My Regis order has arrived, so the following are ins:
Tigi Bed Head Curls Rock Shampoo 750ml x 2
Tigi Bed Head Peppermint Hair Mask x 2
Tigi Bed Head Moisture Maniac Conditioner 250ml x 2
I have already sampled the Peppermint Hair Mask during my post run shower, wow, that's a menthol hit I will remember for a while:D.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Willowbee, so sorry for your loss. Hugs xx
KT, try not to feel ashamed. I have a ton of make up too and if I ever had the courage to post a pic, I am sure it will make you realise you are not alone and I'm probably a lot worse than you!
That said, if it means you are getting yourself in debt over it then I can see why you're embarrassed.
Next time you feel the urge to buy, shop your stash instead. If you're anything like me, then you probably use the same products day in, day out. Instead shake it up a bit and use something you've not used in a long time and it will feel like new.
Hope that doesn't come across as a lecture.
Take care xxAgeing is a privilege not everyone gets.

For anyone who has stashes of make up - if they are premium brands i.e MAC, NARS, Illamasqua etc, then try to sell them on Twitter using the hashtag #bbloggers - I sold a whole ton of lipsticks that way! MAC lipsticks seem to do particularly well.
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
willow so sorry to hear about your cat, mine was also killed outside our house by a car(we live on a quiet no through road but cars still speed and she had no chance I still miss her but look at her photo and talk to her at her grave and remember all the joy she gave me,sending hugs0

I will post a photo of my make-up if that makes anyone feel any better?
Sorry to hear about your kittycat Willowbee - I hope it was quick for her. I've lost 6 cats in my lifetime and a piece of my heart breaks off with every one and goes with them to heaven.
What I always say though is that I will NEVER stop having cats/pets because the devastation of losing them never takes away from the pure joy of having them in your life to begin with xxx
FizzWhizz - Thanks, I am looking forward to it now that it's imminent, I feel more in control as well knowing my hair is looking good (I know you lot will understand!). I'm glad you've had the chance to be you rather than mum of late and lovely to hear of your friend's little one defying the docs!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Hola Beauty Queens
Fizz I'm intrigued about what you have been doing at work today! I know you run a cleaning company so I can imagine it was pretty grim :eek:KT2802 - I have read Gone Girl, I liked it but didn't love it. I have just read The Ocean At The End Of The Lane and that was really good. I also tried Night Circus but after 250 pages I gave up, it was very atmospheric which I loved but nothing happened. I would recommend Rivers of London and Moon Over Soho, they are great. Sorry for going off topic.

Last OUTs before we depart.
UU nSpa Hot Cloth Polish 150ml; WMBA, I wasn't that impressed when I first opened it but I've grown to like it more. The pump did my head in a bit but it was fan-blimmin-tactic compared to the Peaches and Clean packagingand I have managed to use up every last drop
UU Dove Original Bar 100g ; WBA, HG
TA No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara; was a NBI from earlier this month, went to test drive it this morning and it's completely dry
GA No7 BB Lips Beauty Balm; wrong colour for me, my natural lip colour is quite a dark berry shade and putting this pale pink on top made me look like I had eighties frosty pink lippy on :rotfl: Given it to DD, who is looking over my shoulder as we speak.
Busy day for me, still got half the packing to do, hamsters to drop off at the pet shop, car to pack, hair to colour, tidy the house etc, not to mention I'm working til mid afternoon. DH has decided we're getting up at 5 am tomorrow  Shoot me now…0 -
Happy Friday everyone!
kadison - good luck for this weekend, relax and enjoy!
FizzWhizz - happy holidaying and pleased to hear you've managed some "you" time recently. That conservatory sounds grim! I would have been too emabarrassed to have you clean it if it was my home!
I have UUs:
18-21/199-202. Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser Nourishing Cocoa 8ml - freebie and WNB for reasons stated above. Too gimmicky for my liking! I used two sachets last night and still wasn't enough, the other two will be used this eve but I'll report now as rarely get a chance to post over the weekend.
22/203. Elemis Skin Nourishing Shower Cream 50ml - freebie and WNB, I love it (the scent reminds me of newborn babies?!) but wouldn't pay Elemis prices for a shower gel.
23/204. Sanctuary Body Butter 100ml - WDBA, HG item for me. I'm getting through these slowly but surely!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
My final Regis order just landed, so have more INs:
17-19/178-180. Tigi Bed Head Control Freak Shampoo 400ml x 3
20-21/181-182. Paul Mitchell Color Protect Daily Conditioner x 2
I'm now pretty evenly matched in terms of shampoo vs conditioner, full and travel sizes. No purchases needed for the rest of the year methinksMFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
FizzWhizz - I have the nSPA hot cloth cleanser but I had a break out and blamed that, I know you have fussy skin too, was yours OK with it then? Have a lovely holiday btw.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
