Yet again not quite as productive as I'd planned. Grrrr!! It will happen in the week as I can't get to the wardrobe to be able to pack for holiday at the moment! I've enjoyed watching the diving today and a bit of athletics but in between I have done little bits of jobs as well.
All my school stuff is now in one place...shame that takes up a large part of the floor at the moment. I ended up going to ikea with mum and she bought me 4 big storage boxes that I'm going to organise the stuff into some of them.
Then I decided I wanted to reorganise the furniture...no mean feat when you have a fitted wardrobe and narrow alcove to contend with. So started to shift things then decided as I hopefully won't be here too much longer it was too much effort. So if I get chance tomorrow my first job is to put stuff back on the desk!
I have made a birthday card for my Gran. Good thing as the big day is tomorrow. So we're going out for a family meal then back her for lovely cake
I've eaten fairly well today and everyone enjoyed the enchiladas I made for lunch and we've all had one of my cherry scones this evening. So that's those polished off! I could get used to cooking and baking. I even managed to be fairly tidy this lunchtime!!
Time for bed me thinks. And I might finally get my earlier start tomorrow!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Morning all

I'm sat on the terrace eating my breakie and listening to ds3 and 4 giggling while they watch 3 tabby kittens playing. It's a blissful morning
I fully understand the teacher decluttering. I finally got through 10 years  worth of filing at the end of last term. I'm terrible at filing odd sheets and work books so they accumulate in random piles on the top of filing cabinets. I make tentative efforts to get it sorted when my students go on exam leave but end every year with a photocopying paper box filled with resources and stashed in a cupboard. Last year was my tenth in this school so there were ten full boxes staring at me.
Thankfully I was barely used for cover in the last two weeks of term so I forced myself to do a box a day and for once I'll go back in September without the boxes staring at me from the cupboard! A lot went into recycling but there were some pleasant surprises, material that I used to teach and that I'm returning to soon as the specification changes come in to play.
At home I use a portable filing box from Staples. I try to keep most bits at school (but have a ridiculous fear of holiday arson so bring a lot home at the end of July) but I do have a three drawer filing cabinet in the conservatory that is rarely opened and really should be decluttered and possibly put on eBay.
Good luck with today's missions

That really does sound blissful Nintud. This time next week I'll be waking up in peaceful Austria
I can't wait though the weather where week going is currently awful...thunderstorms seem to be the norm looking at the weather forecasts!
Here it is beautiful again though a pretty strong breeze. I'm going to take advantage and hang the washing out once I've finished breakfast. And I'll have to tie the curtains back (very MSE. With a piece of old ribbon) to stop them blowing out of the window!
It's my gran's birthday today so we're all going for a meal at lunch time together. Looking forward to it as we don't often go out for lunch on a Sunday. Usually a family affair round the dinner table and it's rare my OH joins us as he usually uses Sundays for early morning photo shoots.
If I get chance I'll be sorting out my desk (after taking everything off it to move it and then not moving it!) but it all depends on whether the board games come out this afternoon...I love a good challenging board game!
Happy Sunday all xxNSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Sounds like a lovely Sunday. I don't know much about Austria, what sort of holiday will you have there?
My Dad invited us out to lunch so we went to 'Ricco's beach'. It's a make shift cafe with a small beach that's a mix of pebbles, sand and seaweed. Very much a local, rather than a tourist, hangout, the kids had fun with some puppies and kittens while I crashed out on the beach. Littles are now jumping in the pool while I continue to chill on the terrace.
For the record, I did clean the apartment before I got in the pool this morning, but this holiday has been very much about de-stressing and catching rays.
As far as money saving goes... Dad paid for lunch and I bought a round of drinks!
Goal number 1 for tomorrow Penguins86 is to move that table!MBNA 237.47/13997.47

Aww Penguin, I really hope you succeed in being productive. Lots of people on this forum have savings diaries (myself included) so never fear about that.
Have you given yourself goals? I find it useful to be able to measure myself against my goals.
Good luck!0 -
Sounds like a great day! I hope you had a lovely meal!
Haha my 'desk' is on the cards to be sorted out this holiday. I just cant bring myself to do it. What puts me off most is the tray filled with random unfiled resources the top one being Easter related - I know it gets worse.
If you find the motivation to clear yours send some my way please!

Peaty is right. My diary is a 'savings' diary, although frankly it is more of a ramble about anything and everything with the odd money bit thrown in here and there!
I am the most incredible procrastinator. If I can find ANYTHING to do other than the thing I should be doing I will do so. However, apparently, this is a sign of a high achiever and a perfectionist
lol. (Like writing in peoples diaries when I should be catching up with budgeting, figuring out my groceries & researching energy efficiency in pokey flats :rotfl:)
Sounds like a lovely day had out by all. And I am intrigued by your baking cherry scones! I just went through my cupboards and found enough equipment/flour etc to bake myself a cake fort.
Off to procrastinate some more...

I'm also procrastinating, I have an exam on tuesday ha ha0

I decided to leave all the furniture where it was in the end. Too much effort for what will hopefully only be a couple of months. So just to tidy and declutter everywhere.
Despite an afternoon of procrastinating (read snoozing!) I have managed to sort out over half the stuff from on my desk. It's in piles at the moment while I sort the rest out but I have already filled a carrier bag for throwing away! I'm hoping to feel it fairly empty so I can actually use it!
We had a lovely meal out. Carvery for everyone and then cake back at home. Then we played the logo game. My gran didn't quite get it...when she asked the questions she wouldn't tell us if we had the right answers!!
It's been a NSD despite a trip to the local shopping park with OH (he needed a new lamp which would work brilliantly if it would turn off so back to the shop tomorrow for him!)
I should go to bed. Heading to my new school tomorrow with some of the other staff to set up the classroom for September. Then I need a few things from town ready for holiday. All budgeted for as I've needed them for a while.NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

In case I don't pop back later...good luck with your exam tomorrowkillerpeaty
I've been in school today starting to sort out things in the classroom. I don't feel like I've got very far but I do have more of an idea where to find things! We've also discovered that a deer has moved in on the school field! So we adapted the popular tale by Michael Rosen and went on a deer hunt. It's living in the long grass under a tree at the moment but will have to be moved on when we go back to school. No idea how it's got in or where it's come from...school is in a busy area very close to city centre!
As a result of being in school I've also bought last things for my holiday I think...a hard camera case, travel adaptors as OHs are at his mums and a padlock for my case (also at OH's mum's with no free evening to travel down to collect them...having said that all cost me a grand total of £3 and it would cost more than that in petrol to get there and back)
I haven't got anything else done today, so hoping to sort out another box and put things back on my desk this evening. We'll see how that goes!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3
