Peugeot 308 v Seat Leon

Modern Peugeots and dynamics in the same thought?
Hmmm. "Stodgy mess", was my view of the old 308.
I would put Mazda quite a way above Pug for driver involvement.
VAG cars are 'okay', but still nowhere near the typical Ford... and Honda/Toyota are a lot better in this regard than they used to be, not much different to VAG.
Most Ford's I know of have rusted awayWhereas my VW has not a spot

Most of it, Fiat and Renault have won it the most! what a load of tosh they make.
Sorry, but you're really showing your ignorance when it comes to cars.
I wouldnt particularly contest *any* of the winners. Lots of game changers in there, quite a few iconic cars, and quite a few that are seen as modern classics.
Some of them you do need to look at them in the context of what else was being produced at the time.0 -
Seat but marginal, depends on the dealer would be my casting vote, my ibiza was ok until there was a problem and it was a poor dealer experience (enough to go direct to Seat to resolve), peugeots of old were flimsy but reliable enough but not quite as well screwed together as the seat which is vw parts bin stuff albeit sourced from anywhere in the world so not necessarily european0

Renault 9...?
Yup
As i said "you do need to look at them in the context of what else was being produced at the time." and the context / market it was released into.
If you're interested, research it - see what else was happening at the time and WHY it won.
All v interesting stuff.
Wouldnt be the first i'd look to on the list, but i guess you were looking to what you perceived as the weakest, to try to prove a point.0
