Yes it's that time of the week when I already wish it was the weekend :rotfl::rotfl: I've woken up shattered again as I was up until midnight dealing with ebay listings that were finishing - 27 items sold :D Prices to be dropped and relisting of about 50 or so I think, plus I have a box of nearly new books for school and 2 boxes of stuff to go to the charity shop which I'm not going to waste my time relisting :D
17.gif to all the newbies, guess you should be called maggots since you're new flyladies but that doesn't sound too nice does it:eek: :rotfl::rotfl: Take it slow, aim for level one and get that complete before you aim for level 2 ;)

Elizzy - take it easy, don't worry about sharing things no matter how down they may appear to be, we're all friends here and we'll "listen" as thats what friends do bighug.gif

Broomstick - WTG :T There is no way I could run 10k - go you!

Lil_me - thanks for that, I thought it would have been a case of "new part" rather than repair :D Will let my OH know as soon as possible *toddles off to MSN OH*

Right, I have no idea where I am working as I haven't had coffee all weekend and surprisingly I can feel the effects, a snail in reverse moves faster than my brain is going today  So my list is basically kitchen, dailies, ebay listings, photographing the logbooks (I MUST get this done ASAP!) but my top priority when I get back from the school run is a BATH. :o:rotfl::rotfl: Will post again later when I can actually sit down and get my brain working enough to compile a proper list. DD breaks up Thursday, OH has already broken up but still works through the holidays but at least I shouldn't need to iron any shirts or smart pants until closer to September :D Oh, and we're away this weekend (Car permitting) and DD is staying on at IL's until next weekend when we'll go back up again for a party  So I guess I had better think about packing as well  Urgh!

    Welcome Kayjay
    HopeElizzy - you've had a rough week, thinking of you . . .
Broomstick - I'm completely kn@ckered just reading how far you ran!
Shell - hope your kidlets feel better soon.

The past few weeks have been a bit of a nightmare really, so I hoping to get back on track (yet again **sigh**)

What I sneakily cross off on the Monday list was actually done on Sunday

    Morning all

Wiped round everything in kitchen, can't hoover yet because DD is still in bed (after getting home from Brazil yesterday).

I couldn't possibly get any more washing on the line :D It has been sunny so far but the clouds are building now. I hope it doesn't rain yet.

Thanks for the new list lil_me!
I am another who is hoping to be more productive this week. It's my OH's leave for the next 2 weeks and we go away for the a night on Friday early morning, back home late Saturday. I'm going to feed the cats before we go and they can wait till Sat night for their next meal, save bothering my parents to come down. They'll be having the kids for 2 nights, and unfortunately the school announced it's sports day on fri so it will be my son's last, and the first one I have missed :( but my folks can come and watch him before they pick him up. Our two don't break up from school until the 25th.

Good luck to all the new flybabies! I'm still relatively new to these forums but I have been fluttering (or trying to) for a few years now. Good advice above, don't overdo it or you will be put off!

Sorry to hear about all your sad news HopeElizzy, and the upset of last week over your son's leg. I hope all goes well for you this week and you are not too emotionally drained.

Congratulations broomstick on your impressive achievement! Wow I could not do that!

Shell, hope your DDs feel better soon. My son sometimes, about once a year, develops the temperature and sickness thing and (this is not proper medical advice of course) I rang the doctor first time it happened when he was about 6yo, as he could not keep even water down him, the doctor advised to let him rest for 4 hours and then try him with a sports or glucose drink (or lemonade if nothing else) and if he could not keep that down to leave it another 4 hours. I remember being very concerned he'd get dehydrated but in fact it worked out fine and he was all better later. Of course, it's better if they are drinking but in the event that they cannot even keep water down I'd advise to ring the doctor as often they can give help over the phone for such a common complaint.

My son spent yesterday finishing a project on Octopi and other Cephalopods that's due in today. He's had 3 weeks to do it and only had done about a third because he thought he had 4 weeks, but thankfully he finished it and even had time to colour the pictures he had drawn :) The best one in the class gets a booktoken. I really hope he wins as it is really good and he wrote it all himself with remembered facts rather than copying from the net.

We were supposed to go for a lunchtime walk and picnic to give him a break yesterday, but as it was raining we decided to get a rug and sit on the living room floor and have an indoor picnic instead :) It brightened up the afternoon. After they'd gone to bed and between ad-breaks I threw together a banana loaf as I had 4 black bananas which would otherwise have been thrown away. I made double quantities and baked it in a big traybake tray so I will cut that into squares later and put it in a container. Hubby wants me to ice it but I know it doesn't really need it and anyway I'd have to buy icing sugar! Oh well maybe I will...

I'm meant to be cutting down on cakes and biccies this week as I said that ages ago I wanted to lose a few pounds, and so now I really do want to lose a couple before I go away at the weekend. I know with the flying and eating sensible things I'll balance out.

Here's my list for the day:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clean floors
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
    Clean the fridge

    Dust all round kitchen
    Wipe kitchen table
Wipe window sill clean any marks off window
Wash the washer drawer out and lint trap

    • Wipe the outside of kettle, toaster, microwave
    • Clean oven and remove stain from hob
    • Clean out the freezer and check contents, Defrost it if it needs it.
    • Sort through one cupboard, emptying it, wiping it out and wiping items before putting them back - do others if there is time

Now I am NOT cleaning the floors twice!!!

HopeElizzy.. Those first 4 letters say it all!! Hope!! It is terribly tragic about your friends mum.. but as the attending paramedic she got to spend those last minutes with her mum which she otherwise wouldn't have done.. it was obviously her time to leave and she had her daughter by her side. Your friends illness is possibly more tragic, what that poor family must be going through I wouldn't wish on anyone, but you are obviously a brilliant, loving and caring friend whom she has entrusted with the care and support for her husband and little ones, what a fabulous honour for you!! She clearly loves you very much. Hopefully DS's leg will have healed beautifully and he can get over his trauma very soon.. ((hugs to you all))
