  • Evening everyone. *waves* to any newcomers, a right little community building up on this thread.

Enough of the DIY for me today. I'm not sure how much flying I'm going to do next week, I need to start on some major decluttering.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front [/strike]
Sort the spare cupboard in the kitchen
Tidy up the mess in the dining room from boarding the ceiling - started
Wipe down gloss work in the dining room
Tidy away anything that doesn't belong in the kitchen
Make space in the storage cupboard
Move things from lounge shelves to storage cupboard

Huge hugs to you HopeElizzy - don't try to do too much in the house as it'll all wait for you!

I'm going to try levels 1 and 2 all next week. Need to make appointment tomorrow for DD at the doctors. She has pitted finger and toe nails and it's getting worse and worse. I googled it which is probably a mistake and the only thing that really comes up is nail psoraisis. Anyone any ideas? The whole of each of her nails is covered in tiny pinprick size pricks? I originally thought she was chewing them so bought the nailbiting stuff you can put on but don't think she could have done each toe as well!!!

Here's to a good week for us all xx

Evening all :hello: not much going on here as the car broke down in Ikeas carpark yesterday  Had to get a tow home from my dad and the tow rope snapped 3 times, last time it got caught under our wheels and snapped the towhook bit off the front of the car so we ended up pushing it to my sisters who thankfully only lived down the road  We know whats up with it though, it needs a new starter motor  More money!

Other than a tidy through this morning, and baking and laundry, oh and changing DD's bed this morning we've done little else (OH has done loads of washing up for me though :D ). I've got ebay listings ending tonight and I'm watching CSI so I'm off again. Will be back tomorrow with a no doubt huge list :rotfl::rotfl: Have fun all

Have a tear in my eye for you:sad: , times like this you can feel so helpless, just keep strong and you'll get through! (don't stop yourself having a good cry when you need to though)

My DS had a POP on for 9 weeks and it took him a while to get walking again, he also had a limp for a while longer, but don't worry he'll get there, kids natural urge to do things will keep him exercising without him even realizing it!

LJD1 - Do not take this as offering medical advice as we aren't allowed to on the forum but.......

The little holes, sounds like fungal nail infection. Onychomycosis. Have seen that cause pin size holes (not allowed to put the other p word which ends in rick) before. Can be quite painful aswell, needs treatment as it won't go away by itself usually. Is rare in kids but sounds like it could be. Regardless hope you get it sorted whatever it turns out to be. http://www.mybabydust.co.uk/Commondisease.pdf nail fungus on there says about the holes aswell, just been checking what I thought.

Broomstick, 10k flipping heck, 10 metres is my whack, you must be fit! Well done!

Nicki good luck getting it sorted, some places will repair starter motors, I've had a few done at the local Auto Electicals specialist, might be worth looking into. I think the last one I got fixed was £104 to replace, £38 to fully overhaul it and repair it with new parts in.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Thanks lil_me,
I think i'll definitely take her to the doctors tomorrow. I feel like a terrible mother now as I was convinced she was chewing her nails and they've been like that for a while. Poor child! I hope it's the fungal nail rather than anything else as though it's hard to shift it is possible so fingers crossed. I'll keep you informed xx

PS definitely not taking your posting as medical advice it was just interesting reading!!!

LJD1 we all get it wrong sometimes, I've sent my 'I feel ill' kids to school thinking they were fine and pushing their luck many a time to be called in when they've thrown up all over the class room. Parental hazard :rotfl: We're only human so sometimes do make mistakes.
