Every recent poll obviously took place in and around Glasgow as there were only 4 out of 32 council areas to vote in favour of Yes

Stormont is our problem. We voted for them and should face the consequences of our decisions.

Did the opinion polls really get it wrong or did a move to a more caution approach manifest in the last few days? What energised people to vote? Why did areas with SNP representation vote NO? Was it my imagination or did Yes areas have significantly lower turnouts than No areas?

I do believe that devolution generally was a complete botch up. Blair's government set that stage. Stormont typifies, the problems now faced were predicted.

At a very basic level each citizen in the UK should have equal rights be they in Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Derry or Bristol. However a proper review and implementation would require a massive decrease in power at Westminster, so will be resisted at every turn and will never happen willingly.

If last night taught us anything it is that there is a latent resistance to change.
Consequences of last night;- We avoid the period of political and economic instability.
- Sterling strengthens (for a while).
- Interest rates will start to rise say by early next year. The regions who are out of sync with London suffer.
- Those who prefer centralised government will use every excuse to delay proper debate or divert interest. Expect all sorts of quick proposals that suit the interests of those proposing and not the country.
- Devo Max will not amount to much as consequences of increased devolved power to one region will heighten the anomalies with English regions and at Westminster. In any case many politicians do not wish to devolve more powers and nor do many of their financial backers.
- We can expect some tokens and patches applied as short term measures. An ability to raise income tax and spend. More say on benefits. It will all be hyped up, but oil revenue and the like will remain at Westminster.
- Locally it will be corporation tax, but at a cost.
- United Ireland won’t happen any time soon.

I see theres been rioting in Glasgow by a tiny minority of those who dont want to be part of the UK, getting upset and trying to force what they want on the majority and resorting to violence when they dont get their way.
I mean, how ridiculous is that.

just like here then
Well, no, not like here at all - they got that far without anyone even getting their nose punched.
It's a relief we won't have to listen to Scots voices talking rubbish for another generation. "Scotland has more in common with Scandinavia than England" was one classic line, delivered by someone who is either a fool or a liar, or more likely, both.
I see Alex Salmond (57) has a 74 year old wife. They have no children.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

Not even vaguely relevant.
Apart from his repeated references to making choices for our children.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
