I think what you have done is very fair. You have done what you can and been appreciated, they will find someone else. :A
I was in a similar situation when I ran a group, I felt really bad when I felt it was my time to go but it would have affected family life so I gave notice with no one in place to take over. But things worked out in the end.
Thank you :A0 -

I took on work for the charity place that OH goes to to see me over the holidays. Good for me, I get to earn money when I otherwise wouldn't, good for them.....they get work done?
Trouble is I have apparently done such a good job They want me to take on more hoursMy dilemma is, in real life I can earn about 8 times what they are paying me if I do real life work
Ive enjoyed the work and helping them out. I feel terrible
I have emailed tonight offering a 'number of hours' free of charge. I need to do real life work to earn moneyoh it has made me feel bad
I agree with TS and David. Whatever hours you can offer to this organisation are good but there are too many pluses to real life work for to to be avoided. There is no reason for guilt in this at all.
Just read that back and am not sure it makes as much sense as I wanted it to. But I've been down the pub with my mates. Oh yeah my round included four drinks (well, three pints and two halves ) for over £16 - and I didni't include myself. :eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Do you stay on the boat all the time, I wouldn't like that, would need my feet on solid ground. I am with boats like you are with planes.
