    Morning all!

When cooked and frozen, meat has a tendency to be drier once defrosted again so normally better to freeze fresh as it were.

Also, I believe you are pregnant? Have you considered signing up to pushchair trader/mumii? It's about £12/£6 for a year but you are entered into all their comps 25 times per comp, and then have access to test baby products - which you either get to keep or pay discount prices for (depending on the product, buggies for example it's normally discount prices). Probably a little early to do it but I've just been invited to test a huge range of products, so thought I'd mention it. :D

    HTH

Thanks littlebluebird, I've entered comps with them before but had no idea about the membership thing - I'll look into that

I think the problem with freezing it fresh, is that you can't then cook it into meals and then refreeze it (well you can, but you're then running a higher risk of food poisoning) as it's probably already been frozen when you buy it (happy to stand corrected).

Ive got wardrobe crisis looming as well as we have a couple of days away including London for a day so its trainers for the feet so then it has to be trousers - need to find some that don't cut me in half. But the trainers look weird with white summer trousers and summer tops look weird with dark jeans.

we will probably be doing masses of walking so summer sandals are not practical enough hence the trainers - so that's dresses and maxis out

I've been told I am not allowed to wear a rain jacket or a jumper as it will be sweltering so I will feel a bit exposed without something. I've got a little white cardi but its really to go with dresses and not t shirts.

we are only taking one tiny suitcase with us so I've got to choose just one dress to pack for the meal out in the evening and one pair of sandals with heels that I can also walk in - might put my rain mac in the case as well. But its hilly where we are staying so the shoes might be an issue ...

so round and round we go ..

Bless you mhco you do seem in a quandry I think you need gok's help;)I worked in a dress shop for many years and had lots of people come in just like just like you and I always managed to find something that was right for them. ;)Trainers nowadays are worn with lots of clothes and look okay with maxi dresses or even a nice long denim skirt:)also I think layers on top can be useful teeshirts with a linen shirt doubling up as a jacket. As for thrift shops or charity shops as Nannylala calls them are a good place to try on things you might not feel comfortable about doing in the highstreet
and a lot cheaper.Hope this helps you:)

If something was previously frozen then it would say so on the pack and recommend against freezing it again

Does anyone know what the quality of Morrisons meat and fish is like? I'm all for a bargain but also a bit picky about such things. I'm very undecided about whether to take part in this one, so any opinions much appreciated :)

I always get my meat and fish from Morries, I think it is the best quality of all the supermarkets.
Mind you ,I didn't have any trouble with the fruit, I still have grapes and a melon in the fridge from the other coupon and they are still fine.
  • Morning all :)

Shattered this morning. Was planning on going to A's when I dropped DD off at nursery but I've decided to park my bum back in bed instead :D Has to be done sometimes.

Might give the shops a bypass today actually and catch up on some surveys and the like. Haven't logged onto Bzz or the Orchard for ages and I keep getting emails from Valued Opinions. In fact Consumer Pulse actually called me yesterday it's been that long :o :rotfl:

But for now it's  and back to sleep.

You'd be able to refreeze something that was frozen before - but you wouldn't be able to refreeze and then cook, then refreeze again, I'm not sure it would say this on the pack.

Either way - my personal rule of thumb is either to freeze fresh meat to be cooked and eaten once defrosted (like steaks, roast joints etc), or to cook meals with fresh meat and then freeze in portions (e.g. stews). I'm sure other people refreeze things several times without problem, I just choose not to :)

this was a shop yesterday at 14.40, only just checked it. The odd thing is that I actually paid £10 for the wine as they are now on 2 for £10 but it compared to £12. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Due to the ASDA Price Guarantee, you're entitled to a voucher of £6.24:
