Also in Tesco yesterday I found the packs of blackcurrants for £1 - they smelt lovely and I was tempted.
Then I vaguely remembered that people were getting them from Asda on a
sada v !!!!!! list
but I don't know how much they were in Sada or how recently they compared ....
Def getting a s v t shop done today - a bit worried about the sanex though
No idea how much they are anywhere - tend to get them from the back garden. The smell of a blackcurrant bush in the sun is lush, and blackcurrants straight off the bush are wonderful. I have a few in the freezerWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I'm hoping to get 1kg chicken breast fillet and 1kg mince beef for £6 on each transaction. Not going with the 3 for £10 as I think I can do better. Hth
Edit - will be 1160grams of breast so even better dealCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
Morning all!I'm starting to ponder meat, is everyone going to buy lumps to shove in the freezer or are people cooking then freezing? I'm considering cooking meals for the freezer but I just don't have the energy atm so am trying to plan carefully
When cooked and frozen, meat has a tendency to be drier once defrosted again so normally better to freeze fresh as it were.
Also, I believe you are pregnant? Have you considered signing up to pushchair trader/mumii? It's about £12/£6 for a year but you are entered into all their comps 25 times per comp, and then have access to test baby products - which you either get to keep or pay discount prices for (depending on the product, buggies for example it's normally discount prices). Probably a little early to do it but I've just been invited to test a huge range of products, so thought I'd mention it.

Good morning
Yawn, feeling a bit tired this morning. It's a bit grey and DS2 reckons it's not beach walking weather. It's not cold or raining so I have convinced him otherwiseIm just awaiting him making his wardrobe choices. They seem to be based on levels of sun rather than temperature, so I'm expecting long trousers and possibly a jumper

Diced turkey thigh meat will be on my list because you can get approx 350g for £2 so 5 meals for £5.40 is a real winner in this house.
Another one to try before you knock it is pork cheek really cheap and really tasty if cooked slowly. They would die if they knew that's what they were eating I just cook it in the slow cooker and so long as they don't see it going in they just think it's pork pieces.
I may go in today on my way to work to have a look at some prices
I wonder will it be one per transaction again like the veg.
some good ideas there. MY OH is the carnivore in our house, I'm just a chicken eater. Even so I've been tidying the shelves and eating down things this week to make some space.
Youngest son has a Morrison's - sadly he missed the fruit and veg fest despite me sending numerous emailsThe odd thing now is that he is in a house share with 3 others and everyone is either vegetarian or vegan so son does not eat much meat either.
But I will email him a list of things that he might like to get for the freezer - turkey thigh is good for stir fries, mince for pasta meals and home made burgers etc“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Thank you- I was just planning on going for the 3 for £10
Not that there'll be anything left by the time I get there after work

Ive got wardrobe crisis looming as well as we have a couple of days away including London for a day so its trainers for the feet so then it has to be trousers - need to find some that don't cut me in half. But the trainers look weird with white summer trousers and summer tops look weird with dark jeans.
we will probably be doing masses of walking so summer sandals are not practical enough hence the trainers - so that's dresses and maxis out
I've been told I am not allowed to wear a rain jacket or a jumper as it will be sweltering so I will feel a bit exposed without something. I've got a little white cardi but its really to go with dresses and not t shirts.
we are only taking one tiny suitcase with us so I've got to choose just one dress to pack for the meal out in the evening and one pair of sandals with heels that I can also walk in - might put my rain mac in the case as well. But its hilly where we are staying so the shoes might be an issue ...
so round and round we go ..“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
