I've actually ordered Crete walking sandals from Mountain warehouse at the weekend and I'm collected these today and I've high hopes of these - but a bit worried about wearing footwear I've not worn in

    and they are purple :D

You won't regret it :D I've never been able to get them in purple, I have 3 pairs so no excuse to get another right now but shall remember these :D

Ive also had a white jeans crisis all summer.

For decades Ive worn white bootcuts in the summer - most summers apart from odd ones that are too hot for anything on your legs.

this summer a new pair is the right size but cutting me in half, an old pair is so scruffy now its only fit for the garden and a third pair has no zip.

and I've yet to find a shop that is selling white boot cuts this year  - tried all the usual places - Next, Marks, Evans Tu sainsburys, George, Peacock - even started looking in Thrift shops in desperation. Buying online is no good - have to be tried on first.

I've tried on the 3/4 capri pants but with little stumpy legs they don't fit my calves. Skinny jeans are comfortable but make me look an odd shape. Linen ones just look like Pjs on me because of the lack of height.

Also got chunky knees so shorts look weird as well.

I will be glad when we get back to thick black leggings and 160 denier thick woolly tights which suit my legs and my rear :D

    Morning all.
Does anyone know what the quality of Morrisons meat and fish is like? I'm all for a bargain but also a bit picky about such things. I'm very undecided about whether to take part in this one, so any opinions much appreciated :)

Your plight reminds me of when I was a child at the beach

and my Dad bless him he had a double breasted suit and brogues on

his limit to casual was wear no tie or a polo shirt underneath the suit

But in all fairness there were many men on the beach dressed like

that ...... Me thinks he wanted along with my uncles to escape to pub

Well me and Scott of the Antartic are just setting off :D Bless, I do love that child (not any more than my others :o) but he never fails to put a great big smile on my face :D apparently today we will be discussing the circus  thanks to whoever put that flyer in my letterbox :o

I am dying to see the book of his ideas etc when you publish it! No way it could avoid being a best seller :D

    Good morning all...
A lovely new day and a lovely new thread ...thanks FC

busy morning for me ...got lots of little bitty things that need doing in order to tie up a few bigger things,so whilst it wont seem that I get much done it will hopefully all come together by the end of the week.
Its most certainly going to be a NSD today...although the post arrived early today with a letter from T informing us and presumably all the residents in our road that they are planning to open a T express at the end of the road in an old former pub....they have asked if we have any objections and TBH my only thought is....i would object if there were no ss tills...I guess its the glitcher in me surfacing...
