Nine days working straight because work needed me and two hours sleep because of a particularly beautiful woman caused sleep to be a challenge.

Then came home after a few free glasses of wine from a cracking art show and just couldn't bite my tongue any longer to those that have made this board such a boring read because of their complete lack of reason and repetitive postings.

Sitting in a half a million house with a 60k mortgage and 20k in the bank, with no kids and an empty spare room, believe me, I'm not slightly the bit stressed financially. Just stressed by the Internet forum equivalent of Japanese water torture.

Have you moved in the last year or has your house added another £150k to it's value in a year?

    Well yes and no.
When people give details of their lives that are inconsistent over time then it discredits them.
I'm not calling you are liar because there may be many explanations however I do think if you post personal details then you can be expected to be called upon to explain big inconsistencies.
Obviously you have the right to silence but that may be taken into account if you don't mention something you later rely upon :-)

    You life sounds great :-)

Too much information, sounding slightly stalkerish now short changed. Believe me, any disappointment is purely from the repetition and lack of fair minded reasoning of one or two of the posters on this board.

Well it wouldn't matter would it, my disclosure was to put to bed any notion of the idea of being stressed financially. If my house was worth 350k, with a 60k mortgage, with an empty spare room I would still be in a good space. It's a non argument.

However find me a house near Ally Pally for 350k and I'll move in tomorrow.

I'm very content with life but I work hard to ensure others are too and really it's only that kind of stuff that feeds the soul.

When you buy and sell property it's expensive, you need to see it as a five year plan. Every single serious piece of research done looking at London property that I know of, including a really important one by parliament and the most extensive piece of research ever done apparently which was by rightmove very recently said things are looking very good if you're are going to buy. No one can predict the future but when you consider five years rent and five years most possible gains, it's a no brainer. There are people who want to spook or fool the market for there own gains, up or down, watch out for them.

It's a really big decision, people are coming on here for advice for their biggest life changing decision. Consider the research, consider the rent, consider the timing and consider the repetition & lack of real knowledge by certain people.

I've lost serious money (10k) following the wrong advice on these boards, I learnt the hard way. Just don't make my mistake.

I certainly wouldn't touch anything over a million given the labour mansion tax plans just yet but small cheap properties in London or very well placed elsewhere will probably be not just a great investment in five years but a place you can finally call home (and save a ton on rent).

Well let's be fair paddy, you're the one who came on here and was boasting how much money you'd made in a month on your property.

And if I'm not mistaken it was only last year you were boasting that your property was worth a cool £350k. So either your house has smashed the average gains for London or you have moved to a more expensive pad.

    Or

The more likely scenario that you are full of guff.

Let's see this 12 month quote then, a fun job for a Wednesday
    night. X
