We've got quite a few more things to list, but Stu was sending them through work - which he was paying for but they gave him a discount, so we could charge cheaper postage on our items, which I think helped them to sell. Obviously we're not going to be able to do that any more, but I'll list a few more things this week and see how we get on.

Sorry to hear that Snag, my old workplace did that to a lot of people when we were all made redundant in the hope they'd just quit and they wouldn't have to pay redundancy!

I need Ebay magic, got an item ending at 8pm! :D

Sorry to read about the crap that OH is being put through. I hope that he manages to get another job soon so he can kiss this one goodbye and move on swiftly.

On the other hand, I think a fight - all 5ft3 in your heels of you - would be worth watching - you go girlfriend!!!

Oooh, good luck Gemmzie - let us know how you got on!

IA - I think they have rules against selling 'magic dust' on eBay... :rotfl:

Hypno - well, I do have a blue belt in karate, but I've never hit anyone in anger before - not sure how I'd go on doing side kicks in my heels, but it would be funny at least! :D

Snaggles - Great news about the ebay sales!

Sounds like your GP is decent giving him a sick note. You do realise that if Stu does cave and hands his notice in it could be classed as constructive dismissal and that opens up the whole industrial tribunal can of worms. CAB would be able give you decent advice on that!

I hope that if they make the redundancy from immediate effect that they alos increase the payout to cover the stress Stu has endured during these last weeks!

sending BIG hugs to you and Stu:grouphug:

Thanks Cat & Beanie - I hadn't thought about constructive dismissal - I think he's going to try and either stick it out, or stay off sick (he's not well enough to go back yet anyway), but it's worth bearing in mind if we did need to go down that route.

He works in a distribution warehouse, so he has all his fork truck licenses etc, and he's also a qualified first aider, so he should have a good chance of finding work fairly quickly - the depot itself is shutting at the end of August/beginning of September, and they've given everyone an estimated finishing date of 31st August, so we'll see what happens. He just doesn't want to sit at home on the sick though - he's bored of my company already LOL!
