Hypno - I don't know how people manage to make huge profits on eBay, I really don't.....a phone I'm selling normally goes for around £20 (often in worse condition than the slightly scuffed one I'm selling) - mine's going for £2.20! And pretty much everything else isn't selling, even though they're all at 99p with cheap postage!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

snaggles it depends on a lot of things really...inc description and item... a Hi gear pedometer i sould a few weeks ago went for £3.95 ~ i payed £1.20 for it new  and i sold it new too0

Exciting news! The phone sold for £18, the maternity bra sold for £5.58, and a Harry Potter mug (the most hideous thing I have ever seen) went for 99p (I would have paid them 99p to take it away, so good result lol!).
Total so far £24.57 - 8 items still for sale, of which 2 have 99p bids on, and quite a few have watchers. And about 10 more items to list when these finish.
Stu's selling a few bits and pieces too, he's got £10 for our old dvd player (not bad considering you can buy them for £20 these days).
Still haven't opened an account to put it all in, I was debating opening an account through Quidco, but I can never get anything to track through Quidco so I might just put it into my own savings account (which is only used for car tax)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hello Snaggles I am really pleased to see your new thread I look forward to reading and adding comment's!!(nice of course) and giving you a kick up the bum when needed!!!!
Glad to see your making a profit on ebay well done I keep saying to my self That I will stick some stuff on but never do... Just like my decorating at the moment........My excuse is I have 3 boy's to look after!!! Not a very good excuse but i'm sticking to it!! Anyhow sorry to wittle on about myself...DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0 -
Lol, you're not whittling on about yourself - I know exactly what you mean though - I have to wait until Ryan is in bed and Natasha has a clean nappy and a full tummy before I can do anything, so it takes ages sometimes. I've quite enjoyed listing these few bits though - they were being chucked out, so anything I make is a bonus."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Well it IS car related, Snag - perhaps you should re-assign this account to the cartax/loan a/c.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Quick update as I haven't had much chance to get online this week - all but one of our eBay items have now finished and our Paypal account is showing a balance of £67.94! Stu has paid for all the postage from the money he made from the couple of bits and pieces he's sold, so apart from some final value fees which are still to be taken, it's all profit. :T :T
Going to list the rest of the stuff tonight and tomorrow so that they finish over the weekend. Really hoping to get to £100, but it might be a bit ambitious.
Stu has applied for quite a few jobs but hasn't heard anything from any of them yet (no news is good news??). There's some talk of them shutting down early, but at least he will get paid in lieu of notice if they do, which will give him more time to apply for jobs.
I've hardly spent any of my spending money this month either (shopping with a pram is a pain!), so I might be able to transfer some money into the car loan account from that too - will have a look on Friday (payday) and see how much I've got left.

Ooo another shiny new diary
I'm so jealous, I never have that kind of luck with Ebay.
I have £1500 of car loan to clear too! Best of luck :beer:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Good luck with repaying your car loan too Gemmzie.
I'm really hoping that if Stu gets another job fairly quickly, we might be able to repay more of the car loan, so that we will have some of the sharesave money left over to put towards something nice.....we really want a folding camper (posh trailer tent - see here - although we would buy a used one) so we can have some cheap holidays with the kids, but I daren't get my hopes up too much about that yet!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
