  • I decided yesterday (sanity returned) that I would ask her to open a case and stated that I needed that to happen to get final value fees back. This is her reply-

    Hi Karin
Thank you for the email. However I have meanwhile checked your original description of the Liberty skirt and find [as I thought] that you had not indicated that you did not accept returns. I am sorry to have to leave it at that--- and think I am justified in returning the skirt. Thank you also for sending the photos that was kind of you. best wishes

My name is not Karin and I have not sent her any photos. Am I going mad? There is no way now that I will accept a return without a case being opened as she appears more batty by the minute, but should I contact ebay?

That feedback is hilarious. Everything she buys seems to be too big!

Sounds to me from that reply like she is a serial 'part refunder/returner' and she's got so many on the go she's confusing herself.

Yup, this is why I would be cautious about being too helpful.
Obviously be polite, but it's worth hinting that you know what she gets up to.

Respond with a simple message asking if she's confusing you with another seller that she's having problems with, as your name isn't Karin, and you haven't sent photos.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier...don't mean to toot my own horn but I am so good with replying to people like this...this morning I had someone tell me the item they received was pink not purple ( it was most certainly purple but a lot lighter then she wanted) and by the end of the conversation she was thanking me for my excellent service and quality product and it didn't matter so much it wasn't quite the shade of purple she wanted ;)

I've also gotten out of countless INRs that magically turn up once they realise how 'nice' I am.

Already sent yesterday in almost exactly those words. This is what arrived this morning at 11:43

Would it be acceptable for me to return the skirt? Bought on 20th July. It is miles too big for me and I'm not really keen on the material enough to have it altered.

    Followed by this at 12:00

Hi Got you email but not sure why you want me to open a case? I would just like to return the skirt to you. Will that be OK? Sincerely (name removed) PS I'm new to this game!

I have just sent back a reiteration of needing a case so that I can get my FVF back

What this space for the next episode of loony tunes...

At this point I'd be tempted to say yes return it and I'll refund you minis my postage and FVF fees which are XXX but ...nicer.

  • Hi Kayalana99

Keep on being nice and wear the B****** down!
  • Just occurred to me that she has not asked for her money back (I know that is a given) so if she just sends it back to me without a case ... Happy Days!

I am not really that mean, am I?

    Dear XXX,

I'm really genuinely sorry the skirt didn't fit you, but I did put the measurements in the description. As you can see I am not a business and just selling a few bits and bobs in my spare time ~ whilst I will most likey re sell this, I would be down XXX amount from this due to postage, ebay fees and pay pal and as this is your mistake I feel this is unfair.

I'm quite happy for you to return this but I would only be refunding you XX which would be minus my postage fees, I hope you can see why this is fair, as I was only trying to raise some extra funds for day to day bills.

It would be so much easier on both of us for you to resell, all you'd have to do is copy my title and description and send it on ~ you'd most likey get more money back this way anyway but it is your decision,

Thanks in advance and feel free to send the skirt along to me if you wish*,

    XX
