Cheers Dave, I think a whole lot of posters have completely missed the point here:(
I remember when my mates and I had parties, but we never upset anyone else.

How do you know? Other people may have chosen to just let it go with you.

Waiting for you?! They might not know there's an issue if it was done without their knowledge. This, by the sounds of it is a one-off and it's a bit of biodegradable food, I think you need to calm down a bit.

How on earth does someone throw waste food in someone else's garden, and not know that it is an issue?
If this is acceptable behaviour to you, then I am glad that I do not have to visit your pigsty!;)

Because as people have said, it may not have been the hosts of the party who did it. If you were hosting a party and were in the kitchen/lounge/toilet/wherever, how would you know what your drunken guests were doing in the garden?

Obviously by neighbours I am referring to those throwing the party as presumably they live in the house and are therefore, your neighbours too.

No, they turn up occasionally when the parents are away.
The last occasion (which I did not mention to the neighbours), resulted in beer cans and fag ends (joints judging by the smell) being deposited in the passage - these were cleaned up by another son who seems to be quite a decent sort.

It may well be that some of the party goers threw the food over, say a chicken bone or whatever and the actual neighbours didn't know. If they were drunk then i can see how this could happen, although it's not great.

I would pop next door, saying something along the lines of your guests have a made a bit of mess in my garden, would you clean it up so we can get in the garden in this nice weather or words similar.

If they don't, then yes I'd be bl@@dy furious, but you haven't even spoken to them yet.

I personally wouldn't tell their folks - if they did then clean it up, if they didn't then of course I would.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

What is the point of this thread? You've already made your mind up, you're going to have a word and it won't be a friendly one. What else are you looking for because when people offer advice that doesn't match what you already intend to do you stamp your feet.

Unless you're just venting, I'd be pretty miffed but I'd likely have a 'friendly' word, no point in things escalating if they don't need to.

OP i would really consider just picking the rubbish up and putting it in your bin without having a word because if you are as obnoxious and insulting in the flesh as you are on this thread you could be at risk of being arrested. You come across as a very angry person!

It's a trivial issue and i would just pick the mess up and pop it in the bin and have a word with the culprit. It's a little rubbish and not an ebola monkey...lifes too short for angry outbursts.

Wow! Seriously rude OP....

Tbh, I don't know why you bother starting threads if you can't take on board other posters advice without turning offensive.

People are just offering their point of view. Just because you don't agree with them doesn't give you an excuse to turn nasty. :(

It isn't a chicken bone, it is about three quarters of a subway roll, with other meat (could be the remains of a kebab), and salad in different locations in our garden, by the fence.
The culprits have not been back, and the neighbours have not returned yet, so it was not possible to have a word with anyone.

I must admit that I have been surprised by SOME people's replies, because it makes me think that they have the same morals/consideration for others, as the yobbos who decided to treat my property as a rubbish tip.
