  • That eejit may just be us in a mo - as retribution for "dear" newest neighbours partying loudly - again - until the early hours!!! That coupled with local pub's fun day - another regular event - meant not much sleep was had here last night - ah well!!!

Glad you are having a lovely tme Dusty.

Just about to finish coffee then another double HHC in the garage pit!!! - but it's looking much better already.

Not sure what else will get done as it depends on the weather - glorious now but due to rain later this morning.

Have a great day everyone. x

  • Morning , got a man with a paintbrush coming around today to paint the steep walls in the stairway , ceiling and gloss the stair sides . I've had no carpet & stairs have looked like a gloomy pit for the last 4 years .
I have a second hand good condition carpet & underlay to fit , waiting for stairwall panels to have a reduction then my stairs should be completed
So jobs today will downstairs .. Including baking a walnut & date loaf, and trying some soda bread baking and cookies , before it's too hot .
Cleaning out my plate cupboard then soaking the sun with a couple of mags that are read and re read but still worth a revisit
Have a sunny , fun filled day

Well yesterday ended up being a partial write off - the bar where I occasionally work had a break in, so I spent a while helping with the post police sort out so that it was ready for opening again last night. Looks like police have got someone, though :D

Also went to IKEA yesterday - stupidly not taking holiday traffic on M5 into account so was a longer journey - argh! But now have lovely new purple dining room chairs :j. Previous ones are 17 years old and will go on facebook for £20 if I'm lucky! Also have funky glasses for drinks at bargain price of 50p each :) And DS3 has new trainers - having gone from size 8 to size 10 - eek!

And we finally have a complete fence in our back garden - have had missing panels since Jan storms so it's lovely not to have an open plan garden with neighbours any more!!! :j

Then ended up crashing out @ 9pm - so very little got done around house.

Am scrapping most of the flylady lists this week - it'll come back round again, after all! :D Kids want a family game today so will do some basic clearing up downstairs and maybe suggest a barbecue :) Will keep my tasks to carry forward

Week's tasks: (inc new ones for next week)
    Charity paperwork
    PTA & Charity banking
    Expenses - me - JUne

    Expenses - DH - July
Pay day for DH and myself - money shuffle
Expenses - me - charity ones
    Book hair appt for me
    Book eyebrows appt for me!
List 5 things on ebay/ facebook - pics taken ;)
Get DH's invoicing up straight - and do bank rec
BOOK GUINEA PIGS INTO BOARDING FOR HOLIDAYS! - booked by email - need to drop paperwork and deposit monies off
BOOK HIRE CAR FOR OCT HOL

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday :) xx

Morning fellow flyladies. I am back from my hols which was just the best ever. Except after lecturing you all about insect bites, I got bitten 16 times. They had things on hols that I haven't got - dishwasher (used), tumble drier (obviously not used in this weather), so luxury all round really.

Another one here with noisy neighbours partying in the heat. They were still partying as DH had to get up for the paid stuff this morning.

Anyway, third lot of washing is in the machine, plants are watered, breakfast dishes WUDUPA. I need to hoover and mop through the house, get in the gym before it's too hot and then get out in the garden and cut the grass. Dog walking will wait till 9pm tonight.

Right, off to apply bite cream.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning :-)

I am going to leave what I didn't manage to get done from the FlyLady list now and just be pleased with what I achieved so far. I am looking forward to a new list tomorrow. Can't believe I am looking forward to Monday and simply because I want to know what gets cleaned next!?!?!?

    This morning I have:

Walked the dog as the OH is away.
    Watered my herbs.
Got some Headspace - really struggling with the stress pack though but at least I'm on day 11.
I've striped our bed and the sheets are in the wash.
I've eaten breakfast which I don't normally do.
I've done the disk clean up on the C and D drives.
Tided up my desktop as I found I had documents on there not just shortcuts which might explain why the laptop is struggling at times. I have loads of space on here now I that I decluttered a lot of docs onto the external drive so hopefully it won't keep saying it's low on internal memory and the blue screens might stop. Defragmenting the c drive at the moment.

    Today's to do list.

    • Clean hob, [STRIKE]put dishwasher on and make sure kitchen tidy before bed.[/STRIKE]
    • Convince children to practice violin since it costs so much money for lessons at school :-(

I'm so glad your kitchen lodger has shuffled off this mortal coil Pigpen. Utterly hateful things - but not your lovely fluffy ones Frodders.

Four lodgers out, one new one in. She seems delightful, with a huge smile. Although she was an hour early, the bed had been changed even if the room hadn't been flicked with a duster and the floor looked okay so we'll worry about that tomorrow when she starts work. Towel wash out and on the line, dark blue load in twirling as I type, lights and then whites after I've been to the chalet, which should have happened yesterday. Bad me.
    Better is good enough.
