Hehe, thanks Sparkles! It's been quite a while, hasn't it!
I seem to have comfort-shopped a lot more than I should recently. Stress makes me skint and fat, which makes me more stre...oooh, I should probably try to break that cycle!!
Going to start going to Slimming World on Tuesday. It's a small cost each week, but I really need to go to a class to keep me on track.
I'm 40 in 5 weeks. _pale_ This is extra crap because:
- I have no money
- I have no boyfriend
- I have no plans

Happy birthday in 5 weeks kid...
This is extra crap because:
- I have no money
- I have no boyfriend
- I have no plans- You don't absolutely need money to enjoy yourself, it just makes it easier and less thoughtful
- Having no boyfriend doesn't stop 50% ish of the population.
- You have 5 weeks
I know it's just a day and just a number, but no matter how much I tell myself that, I still feel rather sad.

I've been doing that thing where you don't post for a couple of days because you feel bad that you've spent too much, and then a couple of days becomes a couple of weeks, and then it's awkward because you don't have an explanation for staying away other than being in financial self-destruct mode, and not being able to face it.
*breathes*
So, this is me, being back. We're now less than 3 weeks from my 40th, my debt has increased and my panic levels are rising. Time to take control.
First things first - I've had a mortgage agreed in principle. I don't think I will buy somewhere until after Christmas, but this is really good news, and rather a relief.
It was agreed on the basis of having no credit card debt (because by the time I need it, I WON'T). *determined face*
Which means between now and Christmas, my goal is to clear it, and spend as little as possible on presents so it stays clear. Easy. _pale_
I'll be back with some financial stuff once I've dared to work it all out, but for now  hello again!! :wave:I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. You don't have to give an explanation. Though it was only going to be a few more days before I sent out the search parties...*breathes*

And stop panicking...
It's only money. Panic when it's useful, like when you've caught fire or something.I'll be back with some financial stuff once I've dared to work it all out, but for now  hello again!!
