I thought i was the only MSE person in or around Eastleigh, let alone an old styler!!! Small world. I know of someone else on here from the Winchester area but they havent been about for a long long time.
I`m glad you like the shop as much as me, but i`m not happy at the competition lol. If your ever fighting someone in there for a bargin it might me. I forgot to mention that our TK Maxx in the swan centre has a massive clearence section. I think a lot of items from the southampton store get taken there, so worth a check now and again.

take care i`m off for round 3 with the garden.

Afternoon every one ((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.....

Well what an exciting day..........we went to the lottie this morning took our lunch, and finally arrived back here about 2.30 to find the car parking spaces filled up and the yard milling with people. We have a chap on our floor who has mental health problems apparently he has been putting half a bog roll down the toilet everytime he goes, this lunchtime he flushed the toilet and everything came up in the lady's flat who lives below him...........right through the hall and into her sitting room/bedroom, she lives in what they term a studio flat........her son and daughters were there they had been trying to rod the drains but could not get into the pipes to do it.......the smell as we came in through the door to the complex was horrendous......some 2 hours later Dynarod have just been, they had to get up on the roof and use an air compressor down the stack pipe........not a pleasant job, but poor Emily is now virtually homeless, she cannot stay in her flat as it is, it wreaks............not sure what is going to happen, but her daughter said that she will take her home with them, there is no way she is staying in the flat..............I am glad we are upstairs and have no one above us..........the episode with the sink was bad enough. The complex was built in the 70's when it was all the rage to have internal plumbing wityh no external pipework, thats fine, if you can get into the damn thing, I thought we were going to have to have the kitchen out for the chap to get at the pipes, which run right round the kitchen behind all the fitted cupboards, and whats more inspite of putting washing soda and boiling water down the damn thing twice a week, it is still guggling when the sink empties, very slowly.....

And thats the end of todays tale from stinky towers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend in Canada has her sisters funeral today, have been thinking so much about her, 50 is no age and to have fought so bravely for 7 years...its very sad.

Have just put liver and sausage casserole on for tonights supper.....

Oh yes and I had a phone call from my computer chappie, the hard drive on my NEW lap top appears to be US. Its under warrenty, but by the time I have posted it back to them and paid the postage its cheaper for him to put a new hard drive in it. He is going to upgrade the drive to 80gb and also put in another 512 memory all for £70. Not happy but at least if anything happens to that I can blame him. So bang goes my budget for this month....boo hoo was doing so well.............

I am off, tired, hot and sweaty, need to have a shower and wash my hair, then I might feel human again. I knew if I did not get the supper ready when I came in it would not get done.........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hi everyone

I can thoroughly recommend long weekends! Not that I have done too much, but I slept yesterday, and slept and slept and slept!! I feel slightly guilty at having had so much unproductive time, but I feel fab today. It rained non-stop yesterday anyway, it was torrential every time I looked out, so I wouldn't have done anything too interesting outside the house anyway.

Today I've just done a spot of pottering about as well as a run to the pet shop for some kitty biscuits, and a run to drop off a load of cardboard, bottles and so on at the recycling place. I am thinking seriously about getting something a bit more productive done this evening. The whole of the downstairs needs a good scrubbing, so I might do that. It's not that bad really - just put things away (why oh why am I so untidy!?) and then give all surfaces a clean.

Catznine, why are you reading books about puppy training? Are you going to be having the pitter patter of little feet soon?? Sorry to hear that you are still suffering, but it does sound like the end of this episode has already started. Big hugs to you & your OH anyway.

Scuzz - please forgive me if I am poking my hooter in where it don't belong, but are you totally sure you're ready to go back to work? I'm glad to hear that you have given your bf the push though. You were so happy for a while with him, but little by little your joie de vivre has dripped away since meeting him. I hope the happy bouncy Scuzz will be back for business as usual soon. BTW I laughed at your mother and the banana. Mothers, eh!

Elona, your hubby is rather insensitive. Double butter, triple cream, extra lard, mountains of sugar then roll him in sunflower seeds... and leave him out for the birds. (Sorry). My mother just loves to mention my weight when she's having a go - been a lifelong battle for me, and like you I can only tackle it when I have the right frame of mind. Sometimes a thick skin is essential to survive relationships, and eventually some comments cease if there is no (visible) reaction.

NB If you have a weak stomach do not read the following paragraph:
I am currently hiding from my cat. He is long haired and while I was out at the pet shop he visited his litter tray, and now he has a massive "cling-on". Oh gawd, I so don't want to know... He is trapped downstairs, hope he gets bored and does something about it.

OK you can read on now...the icky bit is over!
Plan of action for the next hour or so - clean, clean, clean and clean again! Woo hoo, go SnowyOwl!!

    Bye all

    Afternoon all,
I haven't been on this thread for a few days and [strike]can't be bothered[/strike] :p:D haven't had time to read all of the thread.

Nice to see you Csarina :hello:

I've spent a lovely day compiling a recipe book of all my most used recipes. I've copied them out onto Word documents and printed them off. It's been really handy having so many of my recipes posted on this board for me to copy and paste;) Well, I ve finished for the time being and filed them all in a ring binder to be kept on top of the fridge. It's amazing how many biscuit recipes I have -Twink's hobnobs have gone in there of course.

    Hello again :hello:

    Welcome Ellie

    Good luck for tommorrow PenPen

Hope you feel better soon Catznine

Just having a 5 minute break cos I've done all (yes really) all the ironing. :j  (even the stuff I hid in the cupboard before we went away.) :o;)

OH has taken the girls for a bike ride so I'm going to attempt to put it all away before they get back and give the bedrooms a good dust. How do houses get dusty and dirty when no one was here for 3 weeks?

Have pottered a bit in the garden but it needs a full days attention so I may do that on Monday weather permitting.

Tea is chicken breasts, spuds and home grown lettuce, rocket, tomatoes, radishes and spring oinions. :A I'm attempting the store cupboard challenge for a while as the freezer is jammed and we overspent on holiday. :o If all else fails we can live on wine and smelly French cheese. :D

Thanks for all the welcomes back.

    Haribo x
