Good morning everyone!!
Welcome back Haribo, we've missed you:hello: Glad you had a good holiday, sorry to hear about Pink's DS.
Welcome to Ellie, you'll love it here:D
Got a busy day ahead. DGSs are coming for a few hours, while DS and DDIL go out shopping and for lunch. It's lovely to have them, but extremely hard work, they don't stop:D What I'd give for half their energy;) Still I can [STRIKE]bribe [/STRIKE] encourage the oldest one with hobnobs.:rotfl:
(((hugs))) to elona and DD. Don't feel down about yourself. You're a lovely person. A lot of us are carrying too much weight, and don't have any medical reason for it:o I hate being overweight, but it doesn't change who I am.
Well marathon 'phone call to Dad, interrupted this post. My head is now spinning. He changes tack mid-sentence, and thinks I'm stupid if I can't keep up:rolleyes: So I'll say goodbye, and hope you have enjoyable days,

Welcome Ellie :hello: Welcome back stefejb

So far so good
So far I have achieved:-
~ decluttered utility room side
~ put SC on with chicken stock
~ put BM on with a yogurt, honey and bran loaf (using up old batch in tub)
~ made a fresh batch of yogurt (some of old batch)
~ cleaned the tiered sprouting seed tray and soaked in vinegar solution
~ decantered vinegar solution from above and cleaned kitchen windows, inside and out, buffed with old newspaper
~ old newspaper from above added to composter with hoover dirt
~ stripped beds
~ put lounge cushions in machine for wash
~ put a pan full of mixed beans into water to soak
~ make up a full bottle of Zoflora (smells lovely!) and wiped down the tiles in the bathroom with it
~ just having a well earned (I think) cuppa
:rotfl:
Chugging along quite nicely, methinks. I've got 5 CD's to upload onto the computer which can do itself as I get on with the upstairs hoovering/polishing - I'll change them as I bob in and out of the dining room.
At this rate, I should all be done and dusted in time to make that trip :j
elona - the butter idea sounds just perfect! :T :rotfl:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning everyone
Welcome Ellie
(((hugs to Pinks Ds and Elonas DD)))
Busy day here for me, just about to start painting the bathroom ceiling, not looking forward to it but have put it off all week.
All washing and ironing done, house cleaned but will need to hoover and wipe around.
My brother and 2 neices are coming later this afternoon which will probably tire us out, they are great fun and we have brought them a couple of presents from holiday.
Made Twinks hobnobs and banana bread yesterday which were lovely, doing some tapas for tea.
Hopefully rain will stay away long enough for us to get into garden and weed and mow lawn
Have a good day everyone

Hey Everyone,
Sorry i havent posted for a few days, time has just escaped me lately.
Haribo. sorry to hear about your nephews arm, i have a brother who`s just the same, they call him Mr.Bump at work because he always has a plaster or a bandage on. In fact once he knocked himself out because he was looking at some moterbikes outside his work and walked straight into the wall!!! He was okay though.
Amie399 Your sweetcorn sound nice and healthy, i`m trying some to this year for the first time, but mine arent showing any heads yet i dont think itll be long though they are huge.
Mioliere; If your in eastleigh make sure you check out the "one community" shop. it used to be called ECS. The bargins you can get in there are amazing and the prices are really good, all their takings support local schemes and clubs. Its oppersite the works. and the shaw trust one is a few doors down everything there costs a pound.well worth a look.
I`m really pleased with my OH, we went shopping at Asda yesterday and as we were comming out saw a really nice bbq on offer. The sign about it said 25% off £12. So he picked one up and went to the customer service till to buy it. When they scanned it the till said £16. A bit confused he said the sign said £12 with 25% off. The lady at the till went with him to see the display and said it should have said £21. OH said he wanted it at the price advertised and mentioned the trade description act and they agreed to sell it to him at £9. So we are having a family bbq tomo weather permitting.
The only downside to this is that today i now have to give the garden a good sort out lol. but ill move the cd player to the window so i can dance as i weed lol. I`m still playing with my camera so i might post some pictures of it for everyone if you`d like to see it???
kind regards

Hello everybody,
I've just got home. Got quite a bit done today.
My computer is playing up atm. I'm using DH laptop now. He reckons I have a trojan.
I wish YS was home. He's really good on computers and have it fixed in no time.
Haribo Sounded like you had a great time. Poor Master Pink.
Ellie Welcome to OS & nice to see you back Stefjb
I made Thriftlady's Chocolate Fudge Pudding & custard for pud tonight. The pudding was lovely but I must have went overboard on the custard powder as I could slice it
when it cooled.
HOpe you all have a nice day. It's going to be 6 degrees in the morning. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Queenie you are really putting me to shame
must get on but had to have a little check into here first
DD refuses to get out of bed and DDog has been in there with her all morning - I give up. So we havent got the bank account opened and havent got the prezzies for her teachers.
Ive got 1 load in the washer and 2 to go in ( where does it all come from )
Weather looks good for drying so hope it stays that way today.
Im off to tackle the bathroom then to sort out some car boot stuff - I will do it.
Anybody got a bomb that I can put under DD's bed :rotfl: it really wouldnt make a bit of difference to her bedroom as it looks like a bomb site :rotfl::cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
elona, have you ever told your OH that what he says upsets you?? If you haven't maybe you should let him read your posts from last night.
I would have pointed out that he is perfectly capable of preparing his own muffins if my OH had said that to me.
Hope your DD feels better soon, but please don't tell me about HP - I havent seen it yet! Hugs ((((()))))))0 -
Hello Everyone
Finally found a pc with the internet to get on!!! Missed you all lots. Been off sick from work for 3 weeks now, but I go back on Tuesday. I'm not allowed back in the office without the boss being there for some reason. Looking for a new job and have applied for a couple. Definitely time to get out of there, as they're now trying to push me.
BF is now ex I believe. He's been very funny with me all week and refused to speak to me for no reason, so stuff him I say!
Also considering going travelling for a bit. Maybe get a working visa and go to america for a few months and possibly Australia.
Bought a laptop earlier in the week - on sale of course! Now just looking for a broadband package for me, then I'll be on the go at home.
Was hoping to make a banana bread, but Mum ate one of the bananas I needed!!!!!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Afternoon all! QUEENIE - so organised - puts me to shame. Mind you, I have done lots of baking, lots of paperwork and posted some letters, cleaned the bathroom, hung some washing out and made lunch so, maybe, we can share the halo!
AMIE - yes, I'm looking forward to reading Jodi Picoult. It's exciting finding a new author, isn't it?
FISHCAKE-RANDOM - that is my fave of all the shops in Eastleigh. I've bought many bargains in there for 50p to £1.00 and once bought six beautiful dresses, good enough for weddings and 'posh' do's (one a brand new Monsoon) for £1 each! You must be very local to Eastleigh! It's about five miles away from me!
ELLIE - Welcome to you - yes, I think we're the friendliest people in the world here! I love it; I've learned such a lot, saved a lot and found some fantastic friends!
PENPEN - Good luck tomorrow and hope the weather is wonderful for you!
SCUZZ - Welcome back - hope life is treating you well now!
CATOWEN - that is exactly how boys bring washing home - clean and dirty all mix-muddled up! I gave up trying to retrain my boys! I always felt it all had to be washed anyway - they have a unique smell, boys, don't they?!!
ESSEX-GIRL - hope you feel better soon.
Well, I have DS1, DIL, DGS and DGD round soon so must go.
See you later.

Hello!:hello:
Still recovering from yesterday, my legs are not working too well today so I am taking that as a hint to rest and read and catch up on here.
The bridge is on but still very sore, hopefully will settle down soon and I will be able to eat easier, Queenie hope your dental work goes ok, I am still on soft foods, perhaps we can start a thread on soft foods on a budget for those of us with dental probs;) . Last week cost us dearly as we went out and spent £16 just on foods we could both eat and I am ashamed to say we even bought ready made trifles!:o Now it is back to home made puds etc., Twinks cheesy mash is lovely, also cheesy scrambled eggs, other than that I just make soups and blitz them until smooth in the blender.
Last night we went to watch Joseph and loved it, Lee Mead was excellent as were the rest of the cast and the script was very tongue in cheek funny! The Elvis impressions of Dean Collinson who played the Pharaoh were great! We took dd for a lovely meal first and then saw the show and got home at about 11pm.
I have noticed a few of us have a passion for the charity shops and car boots, maybe we should have a thread to post what bargains we have found and what we intend to do with them for inspiration! On Friday I found a Caithness glass Pebble paperweight for 99p :j I collect Caithness glass, have done for years since we first visited the factory. Also got a couple of large size La Parfait preserving jars for my pickles.
I am finding The pact by Jodi Picoult very readable (though sad) but am balancing it out with some bargain books I got from the library on puppy training.
(((hugs))) to Elona and dd3 and anyone else who needs a hug
