    Good morning all :hello:

I missed the thread yesterday so will have a read later when I get a chance.

((((HUGS)))) to those who need them from yesterday and today too if you want one :)

DD is still in bed but Im about to turf her out into the shower as we have a busy day today. We are off into town to open up a bank account for DD - dont worry she has been lectured on credit and debt more than once  we also need to get a few little pressies for some of her favourite teachers as next week is her last week at her school. I need to get a hat/feather head dress type thing for the wedding that I am going to next week, also need shoes and handbag to go with a dress I already have and am being very money saving by re using :) not money saving buying shoes, bag and hat but we will just ignore that :D
I have done a new meal planner for next week so need to do my grocery shopping at some point but hate shopping in supermarkets on a Saturday.
We are going to see West Side Story tonight at the theatre in town and a few of my DD's friends are actually in it so it should be good.
DD also has a ice skating birthday party to go to this afternoon as well so I had better get motivated and get on.

Have a lovely weekend everybody :hello:

Morning all and long time no see

Well I have been very busy with my exbil - because he didn't want to be a cooking burden we have eaen out every night apart from tuesday when he visited my mum for the night. I made egg chips and beans then - what an effort. Today he is taking youngest dd to the london eye and shopping for souvenirs while i do a week's worth of cleaning and cook a roast dinner for 10. dd and sil are veggie so i will do two lots of potatoes, two lots of gravy and 2 roasts - one pork and one quorn. The occasion is my middle baby's 18th today - I am going to have to start passing her off as my sister soon

    have a good day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Good morning everyone,

((HUGS)) to all who needs one, Happy Birthday to all those celebrating snd hope those with broken bones/dental problems will soon be feeling much better xxx

Well, busy day for us today, and ive just overslept!!! Had planned to be up by 8, but woke to find it was 8.30, so jumped up quickly, DD was on her way to the bathroom, but DS was still sound asleep. So glad he is home again, he had had a lovely time on the school trip, but has come home very tierd and dirty!!! Ive done 3 loads of washing, and now have a house looking like a chinese laundry, clothes over doors and the banisters etc, but when he came back all the clothes were mixed up, so i wasnt sure what was clean and what was dirty, so i washed it all!!! Its actually a lovely looking day so far, so think i will get my bedding done before the rain returns.

DS has a football match this morning, we have to be there by 10 (hense having to get up earlyish) and then i want to go into Plymouth as we have a load of things ive been saving up to do there.

Right, better get moving or nothing will be done!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome Ellie, yes everyone is really friendly here, hope you get some good money saving ideas and enjoy posting here!!!

    Good morning everyone

(((hugs))) to Haribo Junkie's nephew and elona's dd.
PenPen good luck with the Race for Life tomorrow.
Welcome, Ellie. :hello: This forum can save you loads of money on cooking, cleaning, shopping and much more. And, yes, we are a friendly bunch.

Slept well last night but still up too early this morning so I may pop back to bed with a book and a :coffee: later. Hopefully XDH will get his new car today or I will have to play taxi driver again as DD has a sleepover that starts at 1.00 pm today.

DS tried on the 3-for-2 shirts I got from M&S for him - one is a size 15-16yrs and the other pack is size 16" collar. The 16" collar shirt looked like a dress on him. :rotfl: So I will be exchanging that for the 15-16yrs shirts. After that he only needs new shoes and new PE shorts and he is sorted for September. Now all I have to do is take out a new mortgage for DD's uniform.

As this is DD's last year at primary and I am leaving the PTFA, I thought it would be nice to get the headteacher, school secretary (both of whom have been wonderful throughout DS and DD's time at the school) as well as DD's teacher and teaching assistants a leaving present. Thanks to this site, I have bought £70-worth of presents for £20 and that includes a beautiful Harrods scarf! :j I will put some effort into wrapping them to look even more expensive. ;)

I'm off to have some tea now. Have a super Saturday. xx

DD woke up early as her arm was hurting so gave her Culprofen-(hospital suggestion).

She broke her left arm but as it is a Buckles fracture (what used to be called a greenstick) she might only need the cast for 4 weeks or so.

Her sisters are going to take her to see Harry Potter to cheer her up (just hope that they can get tickets) but kept my trap shut.

Had a good cry last night and feel better.

Have decided that do want to do something about my weight but it needs to be my decision and when I am ready to really tackle it.

Made DD a bacon sandwich for breakfast that she can eat with one hand.

Her sisters have been great in helping her button stuff and get tops over her head!

DH has been fairly quiet except for pointing out the muffin I toasted for him yesterday was nearly cold and did not have butter on it! The suffering of the poor mite breaks my heart!!!! So I made them piping hot with loads of butter today.

Would it be very cruel to sneak butter into his food and have him wonder why he is getting fat?

Just refereeing "dispute" with DDs - settled down now, I hope.

    Hugs to everyone

    Good Morning All

dlb - well done on the presentation last night.
donny-gal - good luck with the ebay sales. I had 50 listed last week, and sold 30 of them.

Ive cleaned the downstairs loo, and ironed the fresh bedding ready to change over later. OH did the h/work on thursday, so only needs a flick over this wk end.

Got a chap coming shortly to look at the trailer we're selling. Im fed up of time wasters this week, saying they're coming, then dont show.

Got to go to town this morning, pay some bills and the rent (if I make it in time before the rent office closes)

DS is off to the pictures today with his school friends, to watch Harry Potter.

Kids came back from their dad's last night, moaning they was hungry, DD said she was fed on oats so simple, and DS on pancakes. Yes a nice treat, but not exactly nutricious (sp).

    Right, best make a start
    Have a great wk end
    Love

    Welcome Ellie

Got loads to do today but gonna forget about it till tomorrow as not feeling too good. Have a headache and feel a bit dizzy so going to have a very lazy day. May pop out to get some bits for next weeks packed lunch or might leave that till tomorrow too.

Weather here is not nice at the moment, thought it was meant to break soon?

    Have a great day all.
