What is the actual ownership and access situation regarding the log-cabin? Any restrictions on sale?

    Classed as a mobile home
3 x quoted cost (dodgy builder)
    Not finished
Owned by us in the same way that you would own a caravan
    Land belongs to parents

Yes, it could be split in two and craned away, if anyone would buy it.
  • Do your local council know your wife is disabled, OP? Here, that is a huge factor in moving up the housing list. Not sure if all local authorities are the same, though.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!

Whats stopping you from just parking in front of your mobile home? You have a footprint for a "garden" can you not turn this into parking spaces?

Is it an option to look for a plot of land elsewhere and move the mobile home?

Is the layby, which is now a garden, private land or council road?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Why not rent out your home and rent somewhere else closer to work and away from family ?

Her father's a builder and has a fair bit of land. On that land he built us a log cabin.

So her own father shafted her on the cost of the cabin as well?

So I have to call my wife, wake her or disturb her to move her car somewhere else that the family will ruefully accept so as I can park. I hate doing this but there's nothing else I can do.

Could you move your wife's car yourself, to save her having to get out of bed?

Yup. Notorious dodgy builder and bad debtor. I now know.

Where do I put my car whilst I'm doing this? We're on a dodgy bend. I 'll endeavour to upload a picture after work tomorrow. And putting wife's car down the driveway would surely cause an argument.
