BIG WARNING - if you're going to install CyanogenMod, be prepared for it to wipe your phone
I'd say take the full wipe option no matter what the hardware is you are upgrading, removes any doubt that you may have left rubbish behind if any issues are present afterwards.

Alternatively, make the changes yourself as Android is incredibly easy to understand with very little know how providing you have at least an ounce of common and a basic ability to read.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

If it didn't, your phone wouldn't boot afterwards.

    Updating CM is data-safe though.
  • Anyone know if it's ok to sell your phone to online sites like mazuma, etc... If it's been rooted?

Yeah, it's fine. You can always unroot before hand anyway.
  • To answer the OP try a pure android phone, i.e Nexus or Motorola. No bloatware or phone company's rubbish to slow it down. You also get the latest updates first

Unlikely to be a lot to be honest.

The missus was offered £80 for her S3 by O2 when she upgraded to the S4 on the refresh tariff . The handset was 8 months old when the offer was made, in excellent condition (both physically and visually), and completely stock because she just uses a phone as a phone.
The original handset cost on refresh was £240.

Having said that, we have an average of 10 human years to 1 year of technology so it was technically quite old in the grand scheme of things.

She sold it privately in the end for £150.
