However if the KNOX counter is tripped, there is no way to reset it.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
When Microsoft release new versions of Windows, it usually demands more from the hardware and makes older PC's feel slower.
Same with iPhones and iOS and this is what is happening with your S3 and KitKat.
I had the S3 for 2 years and had the same issue
When i had my S3 it had 1GB of RAM and used about 700MB of this to idle.
My S5 has 2GB of RAM and uses about 1.6GB of this to idle. The more RAM you have the more the OS will use to keep it feeling fast.
iPhones are the same way. 2 generation old devices running the latest iOS feel laggy and slow.
The best way to speed it up if you're tech savvy is get it rooted and install a stripped out version of Android like Cyanogenmod or similar.
It doesn't come with all the Samsung nonsense that slows it down even more and usually makes older phones feel much more responsive.
It updates over the air as well which is nice. All your base are belong to us.0 -
I just used the cyanogenmod installer that does most of it for you. It was suspiciously easy to install! http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Do it, your Galaxy S3 will thank you. Ok, the camera does now crash a bit more than it use to, but that's the only downside i've found from the install.0 -
Does it feel faster and more response now Ringo? All your base are belong to us.0

Certainly does0

How much did your camera use to crash?0
-
prior to installing it, It was only once or twice in 18 months - now I've noticed it's every 3rd-4th photo. I have to reboot it to get it working again.
It may be because i've been using the default Android camera, and not the google camera app - i switched because the 'default' was much quicker. I'll try the Google camera app for a bit now.
Edit; Turns out it's a known issue and this app fixes it.. i'll give it a whirl - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.billgbennett.camerafix&hl=en_GB
BIG WARNING - if you're going to install CyanogenMod, be prepared for it to wipe your phone0 -
CM gives you that warning pretty clearly. And if you follow the (safer) tutorial I linked above you go through that step manually.
Any luck with the app?0
