As I get older I've found I care more what people think of me, but contrary to this, I still am very unforgiving. Once someone has done something to disrespected me I find it hard to move on. So there are a few people who I dislike and they dislike me back.

Tha's strange as I care much less what people think of me as I have become older. When I was younger and someone was off with me, I used to wonder if it was something I had done. Now, I just think that it's their problem.

My OH gets annoyed if for example he lets someone out of a side road when he is driving and the person doesn't thank him. I don't even bother to look if they thank me or not because I really don't care - it's up to them. If they don't then it's because they are miserable and I feel sorry for them but I wouldn't know anyway.

I tend to be quite blunt, and sometimes I probably can be rude, but I wouldn't say I know anyone who hates me. Me and my friends tend to have a love hate relationship sometimes as we are all fairly blunt/strong-willed, but if any of us gets upset or feels insulted then we talk it out like adults and it's fixed within five minutes.

The only person I can think who I would say hated me (I wasn't at all bothered about her) was an old work manager, who for reasons to this day I don't know seemed to really have it out for me. She couldn't fire me because I did my job really well, got on with everyone else, and justifying firing me because she didn't like my face to HR would've been interesting.

I was good friends with the deputy manager and she used to ask me, "What have you done to upset X?" No idea at all. Deputy manager spoke to manager, who herself couldn't say why.

I had random bag searches saying there's missing stock, being called a thief, never so much as taken a spare penny lying about. I got given the worst shifts. She spied on me on the CCTV all day long. She also swore at me when I asked for an afternoon off for my granddad's funeral, for which she also took my promotion away from me citing too much absence (one afternoon in about a year!).

Nowadays if someone hated me I couldn't really care less. Everyone can't get on with everyone and there's going to be personality 'clashes', or whether it's simply they don't like your face. I'll stay as far away from them as possible if that's how they feel!

Well there's a few indicators - being shunned, being spoken to with short shrift, being told "Hey, man, you're a bum-cake!", particularly if they effect a southern American drawl for effect, when they prank call you at 3am, when they post dog poop through your door, or even when the FedEx it from South Africa and of course, when they drive you out into the country, roll you up in a carpet and throw you off a bridge.

Hmm. Judging by all of that, everyone likes me...?!

It's probably because you offer them sweeties.

People like people who offer them sweeties.

I did forget one though - when you post pictures of your dinner to social media, because that is simply the most important thing anyone can do in any given day (just look at what happened when Instagram went down!), if someone from your friends list doesn't 'Like' the picture, or comment with something similar to "OMG!! That looks soooooooooo lush, darl! YUM!!" they probably don't like you.

Yeah, mostly, providing you're not just leaving them the green ones. The green ones are always the least liked.

In some cultures, offering someone a Maynard's Wine Gum and presenting a bag containing only green ones is considered poorer etiquette than turning up drunk on their doorstep at five in the morning with a demented monkey who proceeds to throw his leavings at the occupant's mother.
