Yes, I did badly as well!
They seemed harder than previous ones to me.
Seemed to be a combination of various things. Not having had any RTAs for ages.. Certain categories not having come up for ages.. A few types of queries now being rated differently to before.. Plus, that certain percentage where the judgements just didn't make any sense/were clearly wrong.. I did send an email with some examples from the latter category, as when I did that the last time, they were forced to admit that I was right! REALLY hope this doesn't lead to any of us being let go.Although, imagine if we ALL failed to meet the target, and they then ended up with no one?!
Only managed about half an hours work this morning before getting kicked out. Ie, now at no HitApps. Was really wanting to get a decent number of hours in over the next couple of weeks in case the worst does happen..0 -
You're allowed to be put under review 3 times over... 10 weeks I think? You certainly won't be fired for a bad week.0

Oh. Have you known anyone been put on review at iSS yet then? Sounds similar to the rules at Appen, but then there we were actually assessed weekly, not once a month like now. (RTAs only appear over a 2-3 day period each month in our market, anyway.. And last month, I don't think we got any. Possibly due to arrival of new project manager?!) We'll see, I suppose..0 -
I've never been under review, but it seems to be the same process as Appen, AFAIK. I receive a report every week, and I still get RTAs all the time.0

Where abouts are you? We've never had a report or anything like that. Just a small number of audits each week, and this monthly RTA thing. (I started at the beginning of August).0 -

The thing about categories not coming up for a long time is an issue. Last week I basically rated one type of answer all week! Then the rta's are a bit of a curve ball, trying to think back several weeks ago when you last saw answers of that type. And also trying to remember how they're auditing those types of queries, since it's often inconsistent.
Agreed about the rta's being hard this/last week. Well imo, not so much 'hard' as incredibly ambiguous and outside the scope of the guidelines, so you might as well flip a coin and have just as good a chance at guessing what reasoning the auditor will come up with.0 -
New contracts coming. Yay! :j0

Hi.Googling "search engine evaluator" should give you an idea of what the work involves. iSS are no longer recruiting for the job we're doing on this thread, although they have others listed as available on their website here. Leapforce, Lionbridge and Appen all offer similar positions, and they each have their own threads somewhere on this board.
