Ok so I have to appeal or can I ignore it?
You *can* ignore it if you want to leave the door open for them to sue you later on. I don't think so, do you, for the sake of sending two pre-written templates?!

On the sticky thread flow chart it says I should wait between 28 days and 59 days to receive a letter in the post and then reply using the template. however, further down on that thread it says:

"- If no time to 'dig out flaws' in paperwork, just use our appeal example unless your PCN was from:
'Devere' (Bournemouth usually, e.g. at Castlepoint)
    'District Enforcement' (Staffordshire University etc.)
    'Secure -a-Space'
    'Napier'
    'UKCPM'
'Combined Parking Solutions' (astonishingly now pursuing families at Fantasy Island, Skegness, and normal POPLA appeals won't work)
    or
'Premier Parking Solutions' (especially re a flipped ticket at Hull Docks where you must word your POPLA appeal very carefully)"

My parking ticket was issued by CPM which I am guessing falls under UKCPM. So what should I do?

Also will the photographs of my face mean I can't use the "keeper" not "driver" defence?

Just wait for the Notice to Keeper and send the first template letter.

If I showed you a random photo of someone off the internet what do you think the chances are of you being able to name them ? It's no different for the PPC - they have a photo of you, big deal.

I also need to pull you up on this post :

I have read on "parkingticketappeals.org.uk" that I will suffer a negative impact on my credit score if I refuse to pay.

With the greatest respect please slow down and digest what you're reading because there is no way on planet earth it says that on that website. It might say your credit rating would be affected if you went to court, lost and refused to pay what the court said. What it certainly doesn't say is what you have typed.

UKCPM are the most tame out of that list and the only reason I added them there is because their signage can be quirky in its wording, so while you are waiting a month or two for the NTK, get a picture of:

    - the entrance to show a lack of signs there (usually hidden on a wall where you would only expect to see 'no fly tipping' & info about the bins, etc)
    - any parts of the car park where there are no signs at all as you would have driven in
    - a close up of the wording for us to check out for you.

Appreciate your detailed and helpful reply. Here are two of the photos of my case taken on the "paymyticket.co.uk" website. I will take the photos you have suggested tomorrow for your perusal to help me. Thank you.

The second image is impossible to read. It looks high up given the sun's position, I guess that would be hard to read in direct sunlight, let alone in the dark. A good example of unclear signage if ever there was one, and on their own website too.

To me their own photo of their sign shows just how unreadable it is. This will be good evidence for your POPLA appeal if you have to go to the second stage appeal.

Certainly can't read any ts & cs on that.

It will be interesting to see what your own photo of the sign will show.

I forgot to mention the most important question; Will my credit rating be affected in any way shape or form if I ignore and chose not to pay? I have read on "parkingticketappeals.org.uk" that I will suffer a negative impact on my credit score if I refuse to pay.

With due respect Ktera and as pointed out to you by Hotbring - you need to CALM DOWN AND READ AND DIGEST INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE AND PARKINGTICKETAPPEALS.

What it actually says is on home page:
    http://www.parkingticketappeals.org.uk/
This may be called a parking charge notice or fixed charge notice either attached to the windscreen or as a notice to keeper/owner through the post? There is no legal obligation to pay these charges as they are not fines or penalty charges. However they cannot simply be ignored and you must take action as private parking companies (or the landowner) can pursue a claim for damages in the small claims court. We deal with every company, from Parking Eye to G24, UKCPS to UKPC. Premier Park to CP Plus.

The introduction of Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 introduced new legislation which the registered keeper of a vehicle can also be held liable for this charge. These parking charges can be pursued legitimately through the courts for a period of six years from the date you received the parking charge. Should you lose a county court case and ignore the judgment this will remain on your credit file for six years; which may adversely affect your credit rating and your ability to obtain any credit such as mortgages or credit cards. Parking Eye for example will sue if you dont appeal.

Paying your parking ticket will cost you in the region of £90, and if it gets to court it could be up to £200.

Our Parking Appeal Service will cost you only £16...
    and we guarantee that’s all!

Here are pictures of the notice I took today. This is the first one on the entrance. The others are exactly the same.

Ha ha! Is the bit "Terms of parking without permission" some bizarre attempt to make the £100/day charge a contractural fee rather than breach of contract? I don't think so.

They are saying if you don't have permission, then you can park in exchange for a fee of £100, thus granting you permission to park. In which case there is no fee. Circular argument. Oops.

It's punitive damages for trespass (i.e. no permission), nothing more. And CPM don't have the right to pursue a trespass case. Oh deary me.

thanks for alerting me to this. I am obviously new to this issue and it has been pretty stressful. Am I still able to wait until they send a PCN through the post to which I reply using the template in the sticky thread?

I really don't want to end up paying £100. Am I guaranteed to win the appeal and not pay after sending the letter?
