Whilst we're discussing Ms Doubtfire, I think you misunderstand her and her role. She is the policy owner for Licence Fee enforcement within the BBC, and she owns the contracts with the outsourcers. She knows *exactly* what the issues are, based on the topics covered in the various complaints and FOI requests that I know will have crossed her desk over the past few years..
She's done nothing but toe the BBC line on this, going back over several years. I'd hope that at some point she will face charges of malfeasance in public office.
If there is change afoot (as you've suggested) then it will be because she/the BBC want it. Perhaps in the run-up to Charter renewal they are starting to see the letters as something of a liability all of a sudden?
So why did my letter from her advise me that as of June this year the letters WILL be toned down
I'm not sure what you believe her actual position is She signed my letter as head of revenue management0 -

The entire repertoire of the current letters is available here: http://www.bbctvlicence.com/2013%20letters.htm
As I said, if they are going to change, then it's because it suits the BBC to do it. (Or possibly because the complaints are beginning to have some traction, somehow).I'm not sure what you believe her actual position is She signed my letter as head of revenue management0 -
Yes minnows 10,000 is small fry when you consider in the last
Financial year No. of licences (m)
2012/13 25,338,330TV Licensing today (20th July) published figures showing more than 204,000* people in the UK were caught watching TV without a licence during the first six months of 2012.
So as you can see Especially as the above is two years old I'm sure someone will give the up to date figures lol0 -

The answer to that is to recount it again, as clearly as you can, sticking to the facts, not your suppositions. It is those suppositions that people are objecting to, because they either don't make sense or they contradict known facts.0 -

Yes, that's her job title. She and her team are responsible for the entire Licence Fee system.
I'm sure others have tried but may be its because my complaint was via my local MP ? Perhaps if all those that disagreed with the TVL used their mp's Things WOULD change ?0 -
Nope - I did that, too. I even got a response from the Minister (saying that the Government would not intervene).
Did you say the letters were changing from June? The June letter was the hated "see you in Court" letter. So that could be "0 for 1" already.0 -

So send copy to Ms Doubtfire as I did with my letter dated 4 th July ( still waiting on response ) I'm sure if enough do she WILL make sure it does
As to " government " I said LOCAL MP's as they are the ones that normal help their constituents In my view " the government " don't care because as already mentioned they get it back through their expenses Also as most this lot are millionaires Doubt if they find the need to evade or pay in instalments lol0
