PS4 or Xbox One?

Does he even want an Xbox One/PS4 ?

Could he want an Xbox 360 or a PS3 ?

It depends what his friends have although that doesnt always matter, the other side of the coin is what can you afford eg a maximum budget.

I did a little digging and found out his friends have a mixed bag! Some have a PS4, some Xbox one and others don't have either! Therefore I still don't know!

Leaning more towards the PS4, but don't want to make a rash decision! He's only young so won't really know the difference! But i'll be using it also! Still in a predicament haha

maybe you should bring it up in conversation. "have you played on your friends consoles yet?" ... " oh you have! which one did you like the most? i know people have been saying the ps4 is really good but i havent heard much about the XB one?"

may help get an extra few hints as to which to buy. You wont be dissapointed with either, they are both very good consoles. I'm biased towards the ps4 as i own one though haha

I think it really depends on what you are used to, combined with what consoles friends have.

I have an xbox 360 and all my friends either have the 360 still or xbox one, therefore I'll be getting an xbox one when the time comes to upgrade.

my brother in law went from the 360 to PS4 and didn't like it. He's now sold it and bought an xbox one.

There's no right or wrong answer, just own personal preference.

can say that about anything in life. If it's something you want its worth the money. Also doesnt help the OP very much...

How young is young? You could buy a PS3 AND a Xbox 360 for less than the price of one of the latest consoles! Buy him the Minecraft game and if he's anything like my kids, he won't play anything else anyway!

My sons got an xbox one.

Iv'e got a Commodore 64 from the 80's. Still great fun.

Best value for money...any console plus all that comes with it is going to put a dent in your pocket. Just pick a side and run with it. I chose PS4 because I liked the design. A few friends have bought both consoles but that's just a guaranteed way to put a bigger dent in your pocket.
