No, buying 2 for £3 is the same price per pack as 1 for £1.50. And if you buy 2 packs in asda they will cost you £3 too.

To be 100% more expensive they would have to be 1 for £3.

One thing I liked when I was in Germany was that many of the supermaket's trolleys would take a variety of coins sizes, anything above 50 cents. Really helped with the fumbling for coins.
