Ok, who else thought the thread title was some sort of "inexpensive males available" for the more spinster-y types on here? :-)

Me!! I had the £1.50 out of my purse already! (it's 50p extra if you want one who can get his own beer from the fridge, I believe). ;)

I get around £52.00 a week carers allowance. And that is all I live on per week. Partner gets over £45.000 per year. He does not help me at all financially.
If the higher earner can not be bothered to help out financially then there not a lot you can do.
Be grateful that you yourself are earning well !!!!!

What's your point exactly? 1.3 billion people live on >> 10 times less than you, so anyone who says 3,726 GBP/Yr is a low wage needs their head examined.

You can't have ten times less, there's no such thing.
You can have ten times more, or you can have only a tenth.

I also have to cook, clean and make sure everyone is happy and well taken care of.

    No, you don't have to.

You choose to - for whatever reason.

You need to work out why you feel you need to do this when he obviously doesn't feel the need to reciprocate in any meaningful way.

Absolutely there's something wrong with that. Your husband shouldn't be keeping you in a cell, let alone making you pay for the cell.

I hope the poster gets the joke.
  • Well, they say 'a leopard never changes its spots', so what was the chap like before you married him? Was he really any different from now? Did you truly know the person you wed?
