Your daily commute

1hr 15 minutes each way - two bus journeys and half an hour's walk. Summer's easy but winter is a bit of a slog as leave home at 7am which means I don't see daylight for a number of months.
Costs £25/week0 -
I can't drive, so I tend to only go for jobs that are very close to my house.
My last job was about a 5 minute walk!
Being a minimum wage earner, if I have to spend too much money on travel it's barely worth working0 -
It costs me about £15 a week in petrol - it's 6 miles each way and takes about 20/25 minutes.0

Approx £25-30 a week, 18 mile each way in the car - 30-35 minutes each way0

45 minutes to an hour door to door.
Costs about £30 to £40 a week - although getting a deisel car this week, so hopefully fuel costs will failWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Mornings - 40 mins door to door involving a 5ish min walk, 30 min bus journey and a 5 min walk the other side.
My bus home goes from the very first stop and I spend so long sat around waiting that I decided to start walking home! It takes about 50 mins but clears my head and saves me money too
My 5 bus journeys in each week cost me £7.500 -
45 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic
Costs about £8-£10 a day in fuel
60 mile round trip.
Wouldn't want to go any further as this commute is doing my head in!0 -
I'm very lucky It takes me 22 minutes to walk to work.
So it costs me nothing.
Its the only thing my job has going for it really, but its a big plus so I stick with. Even were I to get a better paid job the fares would soon gobble up the difference
I used to have a commute that involved a a 20 minute tube journey , then 15 minutes on the train, then a 20 minute bus finished by a 15 minute walk. Pure hell.0 -
I leave the house at 7 to get buses to get to work for 8.30. Work starts 9am, but there are no later buses to get there on time. I finish at 5, then wait 30 minutes for a bus, which is generally 15 minutes late anyway. I get into town at 6.30 or so, and depending on whether the 'or so' = too late for my next bus, either get that or walk. So, generally 4 hours' travel... bus pass is £100 a month. Occasionally if there's a no-show I have to get the train from town at £8.80 and there's usually one of those per month.Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge Budget £150. Spent so far: £109.32. Remaining: £40.680 -
2.5 hours to work, 3 hours coming home by train. Been doing this for 18 months now, and getting rather tired of it.
£42.50 each day (splitting my ticket in good MSE fashion) is actually quite good value for the distance I travel (Hampshire to Warwickshire).
 I think this might kill me. I hate commuting and like someone else said previously, have been known to move house because my commute was too long (at all of 10 miles, but traffic was rubbish).
Currently I do about 7.5 miles each way, takes about 20 minutes in the car and costs around £10-12 per week, I think. I really should cycle, but I think the roads around here are lethal.0
