Looking forward to joining in, one question about certain funds counting towards the challenge, I'm a team leader at work and quite often someone asked if I can lend them a tenner till pay day or something and I normally do, when they pay me back I normally stick it in my pot on the assumption I didn't miss it in the month I got paid so I can save it.
Is this OK to add into my challenge total?0 -

can't see any reason why not, we pot anything from money saved from fuel savings up to cashback on purchases etc. Only thing I know is a no-no is things like inheritance.
Have a read of post one on page one as that should tell you all the things you can include in your pot

Hi all, can I join late in the day please, I have my pot that I have been filling since new year but it would be nice to have an added incentive.
Looking forward to seeing how much is in my tin this year.

It's NEVER too late to join us, savingdad - and of course you can pot whatever you get back from lending! A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Thanks for that, I did read the first post but couldn't see anything about repaid lending and didn't want to assume everything I pot could be counted.
As I have a bit of a reputation for being frugal amongst my friends and workmates I tend to be their first port of call for a top up although I always follow my mums rule of never lend more than you can afford to lose,
Thanks for the welcome and I look forward to November time.0
