We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

Many apologies, savingdad, I shouldn't make assumptions and you're right, I've put nothing about repaid lending - though in fairness that's classed as your money - so you save it by all means!

By the way, savingdad and blueneleh, if you'd rather save on through to next October then please do so, if not we will see you on the 27th next month when you declare with the others.

Oh no, my pot needs emptying this year, as mentioned most of my pot money comes from being the lender of choice to tide friends and family over so I need to empty this year for sure.
I'm looking for ways to find a bit more to pay off my last remaining debt which is my mortgage so anything that will bring the balance down before statement day is going to be counted lol

Haven't posted much recently but I have still been saving into my little pot. Over the past few weeks I have saved another £35.90. November not too far away now - need to get my saving skates on

DH announced in the car yesterday that we are going to make count up day this year . . . . BUT . . . I have to make sure I don't say I want to open it before then as he will just tell me to open it :eek: is he mad? i've been saying I want to open the tins since the middle of May :rotfl:, we've never made count up day yet, but you never know, this year could be our year
