Morning ladies, I'm in, though I might not be on list. My kitchen has been neglected due to drama shows and drumming so that will be my main room of the day.
So far I've had a coffee, dropped DD1 to work and hung out two loads of washing.
Why is it when DD1 "helpfully" loads the WM for me it only ever seems to have her stuff in it
DD2 is trying to start an argument via text from school  Basically because DD1 was going to see Derren Brown on the first night of our drama show DD2 agreed to cover for her. I then said that if she did all three nights I'd actually pay her for being so helpful, she agreed to this. Now it's the last night she doesn't want to do it  Things have been changed within the show during dress rehearsal so DD1 won't have a clue what she's doing so it makes sense that DD2 does it. Plus my friend who runs the group wants her to do it.

Out of interest does anyone on here own or has owned a tortoise?
I'm really considering getting one and DD1 brought me a book so I can start researching but I'm a bit confused and could do with some advice :o

Right I'm off to load the DW and make another coffee . . .

  • Morning all - I'm late - been doing Blue Peter job for DS to work out what he needs where in his lounge!!!

Thanks Dusty for last week's thread and Natty for this week's.

Manic week here again - loads more calls and emails this am then vol job 1 pm. Tuesday is weigh in morning - perhaps will stay as have lost loads over weekend - in spite of July JL cake and cuppa! That's two weekends on the trot!

Wednesday is vol job 2 pm followed by 5km Race for life ( very bad planning). Thursday is my only free day and Friday we are again travelling M6 and M1 to DS!!

Hopefully today I'll catch up with all the "stuff" in the hall - nearly all moved now.

    Catch up with washing
Sort stuff to take back Friday
    Banking balances
    WUDUPA
    Dust through.

    Best get on then!

Welcome all newbies and have a great day everyone.x

    Debt-free and Proud!
Have been hobbling rather than flying lately, still waiting for my "urgent" referral to urology and struggling healthwise especially as we are due to go on holiday on Saturday...

Anyway, DD has been super and everyone else has helped a bit so things are tidy and reasonably up to date which I am thankful for.

    As well as the dailies I have a little end of term list to be tackling so this is my main focus this week;

    Monday
DS2 1920s fashion show at school

    Wednesday
    DS2 Sports day

    Thursday
    Hair dresser appt
    Pool Party

    Friday
    Funeral

Anything over and above this including holiday packing and washing will be a big bonus.

Thanks Natty for the new thread.

I'll be on my own lists again this week. DD is off on Thursday because of the strike so we're going to go and finish the back to school shop, except for stationary bits & her shoes. :D I love the fact that everything else still fits & is in a decent enough condition to be used again next year ;) I also have lots of paid stuff to do but all little jobs (in theory) ;)

    Monday:
Sew name tags into new blouses (only 2 to do :D)
    Update household accounts
    Transfer money
    Menu plan
    Laundry
Ironing (DD is doing her own)
    Clean scratched CDs
    Finish ripping CDs
    Email
Tea - something with sausages by request of DD ;)
Read a magazine during lunch! (Trying to get through my pile from the beginning of the year and it only comes out monthly!:o)
DIY list - bedroom wallpaper, colours/paint, hall paint, stain paint, shelves, flooring bathroom?, flooring kitchen?,
    1000000 other things I can't recall :rotfl::rotfl:

    Work (Week):
    Collect books from school
Accounts for last FY break down
    Tax return
    Tax Credits
    National Insurance
    Returns
    Errors/Orders
    Forms
    Accounts
    Cash
    Calling book
    Paying in book /Bank Tuesday
    Order in Thursday
    Prepare books

Wash load 1 in, beds made, rubbish out, bathroom stripped of all towels ready to wash, healthy breakfast eaten, DD's school trip form/cheque done & sent in with her, going to make a coffee and do these CDs for DD while I stitch name labels in ;)

    HHC at 9.30 anyone?

    *argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

    1. Pixie went to bed at 11pm... and stayed asleep, in her own bed without touching me until 7:15am!!!!

    2. DS3.. first day of work experience.. I had to dress him!

    3. Moomin.. first day of transition week which she is missing as she is upchucking.

    4. OH is upchucking, which means it is a bug, God alone knows where from but I REALLY don't need DS3 getting it and having to postpone the baptism (next Sunday!) because he is in hospital! (T1 diabetes and tummy bugs do NOT mix!!!!)

    5. DRAMA CENTRAL..DD3 'misplaced' her dinner card in the pocket of her fleece.

    6. rearranged appointment for Moomin at physio tomorrow.. obviously they deal with children with profound disabilities and do not need bugs.. I've waited 6 weeks for that appointment!! GGRRR

    7. KH text me at 7:30 informing he would take the girls to their 'summer concert' tonight... !!!!!!?!?!? I know NOTHING about this so I had a meltdown about they always tell him about this stuff and I am the one who has to get them there and sort everything and change my plans to accommodate it and he gets to do all the fun $h!t ..... S~T~R~O~P!!

    8. Tiddles is an ignorant little turd.. you ask her a question and she just sits and looks at you like you are speaking martian.. NOT!!! a good plan when I am already yelling!!

    Fan-firkin-tastic start to the week...

    I don't even have PMT!!

Oh... I do appear to have impetigo on the insect bite on my arm though.. which of course spreads to everything so the tiny scratch Pixie did on my chin looks like a boil and the eczema in my ear is threatening to make my ear fall off!!!

NOT a happy chicky-chuck today!! Self medicating with tea and knitting!

Healing vibes, Pigpen. The thought of you in full flow is ... rather frightening. I hope the tea and knitting work for you.

I'm going to carry on in this Room of Doom. The 10 boxes of gibble that needed sorting at the beginning of the June Challenge were down to three and are now back up to seven. I now think of them as Items of Work. So, filing first to clear the decks, clearing of Urgent in the In Tray and then I'll tackle the first one. There is a very distinct possibility that someone will be staying in this room for a week in a fortnight's time, so I have exactly 14 days to get it sorted, and that doesn't mean sliding the boxes out on to the landing while someone occupies the room as I've been doing for years. I so want this room cleared, organised and clean.
    Better is good enough.

Right, 2nd coffee drunk, 2 calls to my mum decluttered, I forgot something so had to call again :o
One load of dog bedding in the TD another in the WM. All pets fed. I'm sure the chameleon is having a growth spurt, s/he (looking more boy like every day :() is eating twice as much as normal
Now I'm going to walk down the town. I have to go via my mum's as she has a cheque she'd like me to pay in. I also need to pay in money for DD1 and go to the groomers to see if they have any space to do the dog, couldn't get through on the phone.

"See" you in a bit :)
