Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thanks to Dusty for last weeks thread

After Dusty's huge list last week I thought it would be calming for everyone if we did the old lists this week...
The idea is that even if you are really busy you don't need to fall off the wagon! Feel free to put your own lists if you don't want to do these lists..I won't be offended :p

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks Dusty and Natty. I've posted a reply to a post (or three) on last week's thread and am reporting in for this week. Healing vibes to people who still have a lurking migraine-type thing going on.

Ok, Just before I head to bed I thought I would post my list for tomorrow, as I said earlier I will be working from my own list

    Manic Monday
Spend 15 minutes sorting through paperwork
    Catch up with emails
    Do clients gardening
Work on tracking down old bank account, which I have not used for years
    Do mystery shopping work
Check Mr A order, scan and put away
Take car to the garage for its MOT
Collect uniform from the embroidery company
Type up report for client (1200 words)
    Do laundry for client
    Do clean for client
    Check banking
Do 2 loads of washing for the family

Monday seems to be pretty much a day for work related tasks but needs must. I hope it is ok to include my work as well as my own cleaning and other tasks, as this will help me to stay focused.

I need to get a move on with this stuff myself. Been languishing and feeling sorry for myself due to ill health, but really have no excuse for the state of my house at the moment.

Looking forward to this! I'm sure it'll be exhausting but also feel like quite the achievement once it's all done!

Thanks Natty, I'll be here after a fashion:

Challenge re planting out would have been done today but after the first one was in got a call from DS1 to help with lifts to the cricket match and then I stayed there for eer the best part of 7 hours (just popping home to finish making chicken pie for dinner). I love watching my boys play and all of them were in the same team, one being captain and opening the batting (35 runs) and the other 2 taking 3 wickets between them and then batting as a pair. You can see why I keep falling of the wagon can't you!

Mad day tomorrow with friends over from the US and Gov meetings and I need to get DS3 an orange tshirt for house colours for sports day. Rest of the week is quite full on too catching up with lovely friends on 2 days, cricket matches, Cricket club meetings, thank you drinks - oh the flying is so not going to happen is it!
