It is highly relevant even in 2018 if you read the news, it is not 1000 or ten thousands, it is £37million - the total worth of these business run by the fraudsters by just fooling ASA and Trading Standards by staying 'legal' as they thought. It is serious money, my friend.

FYI pollycat - these copycat websites may still exist, but I can confirm that it does not penetrate through Google ad engines anymore. There may be other search engines, which people need to be careful.
Hence it is important to raise awareness..

If anyone wants proof for what I just said above- just shout....:rotfl:

Sign in or create a new account here: on your AdWords account.

1. Click the Campaigns tab.
2. In the left menu, choose the campaign you'd like to add your new text ad to.
3. Click the Ads tab.
4. Click + Ad then select “Text ad.”
5. Click Choose... to select the ad group you’d like to add your new text ad to.
6. Enter a final URL (e.g passportuk.com) , headline text, description text, and text in the optional “Path” fields. As you type, a mobile and desktop version of your ad will appear instantly in the "Ad preview."
7. When you're satisfied with your new text ad, click Save ad.

Oh here we go again and yes, hpuse, it keeps this in the spotlight. But these sites, and other sites exist to extract money from the unwary. one these days has to look hard when booking other things on the interweb, and not just passports. I recently registered to visit the capitol in Washington DC later this year. It is free, yet there are sites offering to do this for you. Same with sites texting you when your MoT and tax are due for your car.


If the three or so years since my incarnation from another BoT on here, the google engineers have silenced some of these money extraction sites, but not all!


It is the unwearied who get caught out, not the one who checks the site before parting with money. Most times I use a fake name etc to test whether the site wants my cash.


PS, what is the adwords account! Most sites, and the Daily fail is prone, is full of bullshine advertising, as such, I avoid. as well as regionals, that cover the page. I bounce out of these as well. In fact since 2012, my internet experience is now limited to buying on amazon, Netflix, decent papers, liedepedia and here!

I want to know if these websites are illegal.
If they are, why are they still in existence?
