    A Google spokesman told Daily Star Online: "We've allocated substantial technical, financial, and human resources to stopping bad advertising practices and protecting users on the web.

    Sounds like a 24/7 operation.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    If it had been a government website it would not be called ".co.uk" it would be named ".gov.uk"; that alone should have told you that it was a business website.

    If you ever read MSE it will explain how not to pay for anything you bought on the Internet and have decided you don't want anymore. You have a right to refuse to pay if you notify the website within 14 days of receiving the item or service and you do not even have to explain why - but you can if you want to explain. If you have already paid, you will have to explain that under the Distance Selling Regulations, you did tell them you did not want their "service" anymore within 14 days and have been told (say you have received legal advice even though I am not a lawyer! But it is still legal advice taken from MSE's website.) you are entitled to a full refund but are prepared to accept the difference between the cost of a passport from the Passport Office and what they charged you. If they don't pay you, consult the MSE website or the Citizens Advice Bureau about what else you can do to get the money you want back. Hope this is helpful.

    I think we can close this thread and put to rest since no one is interested in defending 'such' companies with 'such' T&Cs and say its all customers fault for not reading before clicking... Hahaha. :D

    It's really not necessary to 'close a thread'.

    Just stop posting on it and it will gradually get forgotten.

    Of course, if you feel the need to have a go at other posters, then feel free to keep bringing this thread back to the top. :whistle:

    There is still a little way to go on this thread actually, as there is the result of some significant legal action to come at some point in the nearish future.

    Then the appropriate thing to do is to leave the thread until there is actually some news to report.
    Not to revive it to have a cheap shot.

    Agreed?
