I've been AWOL for a while- I was young and vibrant, now I have at least half a dozen grand kids and got excited about mowing my lawn this weekend
Aerial class sounds fun, is that the one where you leap about with bungee ropes?

Ah, my aerials class is silks... think cirque du soleil! Only there are more than enough instances of me looking more like a hippo wrapped in a parachute!I'm still working - feel nice and safe at work and it is good to have a structure to my day - I could procrastinate with the best of them given have a chance!I have hardly spent a penny over the last three weeks (no silks, no circuits and no pub / eating out!) I have had £17 in my purse since middle of March and only broke into it this morning to buy some milk for work (£1.25 spent). Typical though that it is around now I wanted to buy plants for the garden.... and everywhere is shut. hey ho!Going blood doning his evening - OH said not a brilliant thing to do (unnecessary contact) but as I have special O- blood I am going (a lot of O- blood goes to neonata care!)See you all soon xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ah, update received from the national blood doning service to say that my blood ended up in a hospital in Salford. Nice to know it's being used. Next appointment booked in for July - I used to go regularly but was shocked this time when I realised that 6 years had passed since my last donation... I won't beat my mums 102 pints if I keep that up (my dad is on 84 too!).Work is still ridiculously busy - good news for us today is it is raining and therefore people are opting to stay at home (where they should be!). Averaging around 50 hours a week working at the moment. Somehow still finding the energy to do outdoors stuff at home at the weekends.... ornamental grasses ordered, delivered and planted. The fence all bar one panel re-oiled and I've made a start on coating the shed. Looks like I might need to move my activities inside this weekend though as the weather doesn't look all that promising (at least I've been stocking up on vitD until now!).General spending still really low - I don't think weve even bought as much food as I thought we had. Did give in a buy a BBQ though (easter weekend) and we're up to 7 BBQs already which is making OH feel all manlyJust taken 5 mins out of work to type this and have a calming look over my spreadsheet. Organised numbers make me feel better! lolNot a lot else to report. It is literally been work, home, eat, drink, sleep repeat this month. One of my customers asked me yesterday if I had a life (as it was 18:30 when I called him!! (cheeky!)......My reply was "not right now!"So, I'm here and battling on - how you all doing? Hi Nats and a big hello to OBNW
As I work in a school I've still been in over the Easter break and now on reduced hours as we only have a few students and staff in. Today is a day at home, but I have to keep an eye on emails.
We did a 14 day stint at home due to hubby having a cough, in that time we decorated the hall, stairs and landing as well as the bathroom. Hubby could see lockdown coming so had already bought the supplies needed! He's now started on the garden as he has reduced hours too. I've been able to make a top, I can't remember the last time I had any time to do anything crafty!
I've been able to save a bit extra for my Christmas and car funds with not being out and about.
Hope you're keeping safe and well in these very strange times, catch you soon

Hi Nats & kd, I managed 3 weeks working from home but moved back to the office last Friday.
It drove me mad, only three people in and I have my own office (not sure if I'm important or smelly) so feels fine.
I'd love to paint my kitchen and stain the shed where are you guys getting all the materials from?
I don't think the imposed hermit like existence has reduced my spending, one of my daughters has a self employed OH so they are struggling so I keep leaving food supplies by their door for them. Also I have moved from Aldi to M&SI know but there is no queue and loads of fruit and veg, also you can pick up a decent red for a fiver.
Anyway back to the VAT return.....

It is handy as there are no queues... but I thought £4 for two burgers (OH overwhelming desire to BBQ kicked in) was a little steep. But they were soooo good!Hi KD - how lovely that you've made a top! I would love to make clothes... I just don't have the patience.Did I mention I cut OH's hair at the weekend? Not a military-style grade 2 all over... but a proper graduated back and sides and trimmed the top. I was bloomin' chuffed with myself (and with OH for being brave enough to let me have a go!)I am currently sporting a damaged hip-flexor... I saw a video where an aerialist I follow online was doing one-legged squats and decided to give them a go. Really should have warmed up first!!!
I'm comforable enough as long as I don't move.... but not moving at work at the moment is just not possible. Recovery anticipated to be around 2-3 weeks. *sob*
Right, really must do some work - happy thursday everyone! xxx

Hi
Decorating supplies, hubby had already purchased the majority of them before lockdown, but some he bought from Amzon.
Fabric for my top I already had at home (got quite a bit) just no time to make anything usually!
Ouch! Nats I feel for you with having my prolapsed disc a couple of years ago, I am super cautious about doing anything unusual.
Well done on cutting OH hair, I don't worry about that as my hubby is bald anywayI have attempted my sons from time to time but he is too impatient to sit still long enough to be able to have a proper go at it!

If anyone is interested .... I can highly recommend Mr S's 'long lasting pain relief' capsules. Contain ibuprofen and really do last! A much better nights sleep last night (not waking myself every time to roll over) and with a dose this morning, I'm almost limp free! Don't really like taking more pills than I have to, but I was aware that limping was starting to affect my opposite knee and being tired and in pain is no fun at all!I'd love to see a pic of your top KD! I had a sewing machine years ago, but it just collected dust so it went off to the charity shop. I think I have a knitting machine at my mums... might dig that out and see if I can create a scarf / snood for this winter. Will need some wool though!Happy Friday all! Hope you have a lovely weekend. xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
