Can you do porridge in a slow cooker? I'd of thought it something you could just make and leave on the low setting for them to help themselves to. Make a load of toppings available.

Rather than porridge ( or bought cereal which we don't eat) I was going to put out home mix of muesli, or even make some granola. I am happy to buy cereal but no one ever opts for it here.

I was also thinking of making cereal bars / flap jacks for early departers who might get munchies on route home.

This is of course stuff I can do in advance.

I don't think I have ever had a savoury muffin. I'm not posh enough.

I like bacon done on a foiled baking tray in the oven until it is crispy. Bacon butties.

We'll, I'm not sure I've had one either. But, its not stopping me thinking about it. I don't think ties or dress codes are required for savoury muffin breakfasts ;)

Just as well, if you put that bow ties are to be worn for breakfast you'd probably get a roomful of men, nude save for a fancy bow tie each.

Oh no Lostinrates, I just don't like muffins ;) I love the croissants idea (fatty is always good!), Fruit salad is also nice. I have a friend who will hunt high and low for a big watermelon when hungover!

That's because watermelon is Full of fast acting sugar, and really bad if you are diabetic....good HO cure though.

SO, drink of the morning should be virgin Mary with maybe an egg thrown in, after that, pretty much every food combination you can think of looking at all the posts....lol.

I don't vote however for porridge or muffins, and I can say this with knowledge.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

So a watermelon based fruit salad might be a good idea? Or even just nice wedges of it. That's a lovely idea if this weather holds. Wedges of watermelon and lovely jammy figs.

Ooh that sounds great. Yummy figs (upset that it is winter here!) Calicocat has a good point, I'm sure it is the sugar content in fruit that makes it appealing, better than soda I am sure :o

Our own figs in the garden are almost ripe already. Incredibly.
