Hope you had a great holiday sjprmc, where did you go?
Where nice have you been, sjprmc?!

Trying to multi quote, so apologies if it hasn't worked!

We went to Great Yarmouth for a week which was lovely and then Scarborough for a week it was our third yr in a row there so think we have exhausted ourselves of the place now, had a few rubbish weather days and a few good weather ones

I seem to have fallen off the wagon reporting UU's though really not a lot to report.

A few misc. mini's gone. I seemed to have slowed right down in using stuff as I have put versions of everything in gym bag, bathroom and bedroom. The only way I remember to actually use them! Increased hours at work and booked weekends also mean I have had less time for pampering.

TA an Avon tinted moisteriser,(looked like it had split) and a boots mascara which the brush had fallen apart on.

Had to buy a hair mask to do some hair first aid. I tried dyeing my hair with a SEMI permanent from boots. Awful result, my hair is naturally dirty blonde with streaks. I chose the closest looking colour just meaning to cover a few stray greys and my hair went sort of red! I tolerated it for a week but in the end bought a hair colour stripper. I am almost back to my natural colour with hair the consistency of straw and have almost spent as much as I would've going to the salon. Lesson learned, it seems some of us just cannot do home dye jobs.:(
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Another UU here Ted Baker body wash. Nothing much to report, except a wedding panic before we have even booked, someone else got the date we thought we'd kinda reserved:eek: Ahh well still the other date we hopefully have is slightly better anyway. Hoepfully it will all be sorted tomorrow and I can stop worrying about it:)
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

Ooh all the wedding plans sound exciting. Hope you get the date you wanted sorted out tomorrow seaside dreamer

Sounds like you had a lovely time away sjprmc, glad you had some good weather.

Sorry to hear about your hair dye problems shandyclover, hope your hair is how you want it now. My hair looks pretty terrible at the moment! I don't know what to do with it really as I don't want to spend much money on it :rotfl:

    1 OUT this evening -

128 - TBS Spiced Vanilla Shower Gel 250ml - WNBA, got so fed up with this by the end and I liked it at the beginning :rotfl: it has taken me so long to UU.

I also UU another shower gel recently but never declared it as an IN or put on the stash list for some reason :o

I am now down to my last 2 full size shower gels and 1 mini! Hopefully will use them all up by the end of the year (it really does take me that long to get through shower gel and yes I do shower every day!!)

Have got loads of splutterers at the moment which is good but also concerning as they are things that I can't afford to replace but I need them!

Sold my Nars Sheer Glow foundation on Ebay. Will wait until the person pays before declaring as an out.

ETA: The person has already paid so that's another out:

129 - Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Gobi 30ml - WNBA, great colour match for me and good coverage, just did not work for my skin at all. Looked great when I first put it on but then looked terrible after a few hours like it had curdled on my skin??!!! Only sold for £14.99 when cost £30.50 but not too bad I guess.

shandyclover - hope you get your hair sorted out. Mine needs colouring again but the home dye kits only cover the greys for about a month then you can see them again, the salon colour covers them and they stay coloured until it grows out, I need to budget for the expense and get it done.

KT2802 - I don't know why we can't take cosmetics back under circumstances like you've had with the Nars foundation, at £30 a bottle it should be fantastic, I think from now on if I am looking at a high end foundation I will take a little pot and ask for a sample first.

    I have a uu

was a tad bad yesterday, bought 6 small molton brown goodies, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, saving cream(DH) in order to spend £5 to get 6 free mini body washes plus a got a mini body lotion extra,my excuse is they are good to take on holiday....where this excuse fails is that not actually book one yet!!!!except secret weekend anniversary treat for DH.
suffered the ordeal of trying bras on in a multi mirror room shock to see so much fat! and grey roots(at least I can fix that LOL)
annoyed this week after some woman in Ireland(no offense it is relevant) put a case to eBay and had for funds stopped and asked for a refund as the free post item I sent on Monday had not reached her by Friday....we live in a village with a post van so the earliest it would have been picked up at the main branch was late afternoon so prob gone Tuesday(I had a 2nd class item sent to me in England that arrived a week after posting)I am annoyed that she did not bother to contact me first as I have proof of posting which I have emailed to her yesterday morning but have had no reply so at the moment the case still stands so if it does n ot arrive will need to chase post office.....was it worth it for an £8 tube of foundation??????
  • Hi tiffanyjayne I read this and thought :T this is just what I need for my hair! but then tried to find it and it seems it's been discontinued? :( Has it been re-named anything else, as Herbal Essences have a habit of changing the names of things quite a lot.

ETA - I found this in Tesco today, no idea why it wasn't on their website or the Boots website when I looked. Anyhoo I'm going to give it a go and see how I get on.

eBay buyers can be the worst sometimes...I don't know what gets into them! My pet hate is when they message you a day after they've won the item asking if you've posted it yet:mad:
As in your case above, like you said why on earth didn't she just message you first?? Hopefully she will get the item very soon and the case can be closed. Ultimately eBay is always on the buyers side, this annoys me as a lot of the time it's them that's at fault.
Anyway rant over!! :rotfl: I make more money selling on eBay than I would if I did car boots or just giving stuff away but it is a very tedious and painful experience.

I think this might be a record for me; reporting the super speedy UU of the new Clinique Smart Custom Serum sample that I was sent. I have used it twice a day since I received it and loved it much more than any other serums I have tried - I was truly hooked and absolutely gutted when it started to splutter. :D

I expect it costs megabucks but I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for a good offer or GWP and I would be interested to see what the beauty bloggers have to say about it before I commit to purchasing.

    I have a UU!

Elemis Skin Nourishing Scrub - 50ml.

Wouldn't buy this as a full size and pay that kind of money, but it was fine to use. Taking the other on holiday so will hopefully use that up too!
