Thanks Lynseydee only trouble is I don't know who she would write the grievance letter to. All the trustees stick together so she can't write it to them as they'd just pass it off as they always do. I've said this to her in the past but I just don't know if she's got anywhere to turn to.
Thanks for your thoughts though, I know on this thread you can vent and there'll always be someone there to listen! :)

If they have a staff handbook it should be in there.

Alternatively you can always look at the ACAS Code as employers should always follow the procedure in their handbook and the ACAS Code. She could also see if she can have a telephone conversation with a solicitor. I think most solicitors would have an initial telephone conversation with your mum where they wouldn't charge but obviously it would be more general advice rather than tailored. That's what we do and most people then just go away and do what's been advised. It's got to be worth a shot.

It seems a shame that you're mum is obviously working somewhere she likes and is having to put up with this, whether it's from the Trustees or not.

How about getting some of those little lip balm sized pots that we can put 'testers' of items in to send to each other?

Would just be a little packet to send, hopefully wouldn't cost much? We could request some samples from each others lists?

I'd be happy to join in with this or perhaps we could swap sample sachets?

has anyone seen the Elemis TSV I want it it has Frangipani body cream in it I love the shower cream so want to try the body cream but I don't want anything else in the pack.

Saw it and managed to talk myself out of it as I have tonnes of the shower creams (and corresponding oil) already and enough PCMC. Not a huge fan of the cleanser, prefer a different toner and although I like the exfoliator would prefer to have a bigger tube of this rather than the cleanser and toner in the kit.

Have been to Debenhams in Trafford Centre today (visited the Virgin Holiday Shop and booked holiday to Orlando next September - very excited about this) and they had an offer on: spend £60.00 on Elemis and get a free gift containing 5 travel sized items. We had only gone for MrM's shave cream and I couldn't justify spending £60.00 although it would have been easier to do than order a kit with items in that I didn't want.

Sorry to not have posted in the last couple of weeks. Work is hectic as usual and I am going away for 4 weeks next sunday, I have nearly finished packing and am quite proud that my suitcase is only half full (wish I had bought a smaller suitcae now.)

Sorry honey to hear about your son, hopefully it will all turn ouit well

Kadison, I think you are a little loved up.

    Anyway confession time.

    INS
22 items from Murad mostly sachets, wi8ll take some away to get rid, I not really a fan of sachets

10 items that I ordered back in May have finally arrived from USA.

    UU's
    Icon soap WNBA

Sexy peel soap WNBA prefer others

2 X cinders bath ballisitcs WBA still really like them and stock up with them every year if I can get them at half price.

Sacura bath ballisitc WNBA this was an old time favourite which lush have started to sell again. It smelt wonderfully till it hit the water and then nothing.

    Brightside bubble bar WBA

    Sanats sack bubble bar WNBA

    Melting snowman bath melt WMBA

    rose bath melt WNBA

A pudding of maple rice sugar scrub WNBA the company changed the formula and it is not the same

Ancients sugar scrub WNBA as above

    Enchanted comforter whipped soap WMBA

Hardies and Bayliss body butter WNBA hated it from start to finish,

Happy hair days conditioner WNBA liked it to start but found it seemed to coat my hair and did not seem to moisturise it.

Yves rocher serum WNBA quite liked it but it did not wow me and I seem to have a collection of serums at the moment

2 x the organic pharmacy face gel WNBA it contained alcohol which I try and avoid at all costs in skin care as it sets my oil production off.

    Hola Beauty Queens :hello:

A little Sunday UU to see the week off in style.

UU #121: Rituals Shikakai Secret Conditioner 200ml; I often bang on about how much I love their Ayurveda range, it has the BEST scent but this item was a complete thumbs down. Didn't detangle my hair and was nowhere near moisturising enough for me. I have decanted the last bit into my water sprayer, at least now when I refresh my curls, my hair will smell lovely :)

Struggling with flat roots just now, booked in to be shorn on Tuesday but if that doesn't help, I'm going to buy a volumising spray/powder to try. Any recommendations? Bearing in mind my hair is black and curly, so light coloured powders are likely a no-no as I can't brush them out. TIA :D

A quick question. Those of you with children of toddler age, do you still buy baby wash and bubble bath. The only reason I'm asking is I've just added baby bubble bath to my shopping but thought if I could start using the stuff my husband and I use it would certainly help towards the stash.

Or should I carry on buying his own stash?

  • Hi Lynseydee thanks for your advice earlier. I'll look up what you said and see if Mum would be willing to talk to a solicitor. She's got a big meeting with them tomorrow so we'll see if anything good or bad transpires!

Have you been using products such as Johnson's baby or have you been using paraben free products on your son/daughter?
If it's the former I would say if they don't have sensitive/eczema prone skin then you would be ok to use normal bath stuff on them, but just see how you go. If you've been trying to use chemical free products then perhaps continue with that.
My 5 year old used to have Earth friendly baby and Burts Bees products and such like but now he has a shower every day he just uses what i've got to use up. Poor fella is helping me use up my Soap & Glory shower gel at the moment haha can't WAIT to get that used up I'm so fed up of the smell :rotfl: he doesn't seem to mind/notice that it's pink lol
