Instead of phoning him could you have a quite word with one of the guards and see if they'll put an announcement out for him to make his way to a certain platform and then when he gets there you'll be waiting there to surprise him?

I've already told him to be at the station for 11am so I think he suspects, then I'll just text him the platform number, he doesn't KNOW what the surprise is for certain though :D

It's a nice idea of yours but I bet it's all automated and it'd take me asking about 6 people to find anyone in charge, plus I don't want to involve anyone else really, me jumping on him will probably draw enough attention as it is :rotfl:

    Hello all :)

Thanks Dazedandconfused for that link, it really does sound like it could be that and nothing else. Like Fizzwhizz says it's a very interesting article and I've bookmarked it so that my husband can read it later too.
We had to wait ages for the MRI yesterday but got it done in the end. The results will take up to 10 days they said but surely they would contact us before then if there's anything to worry about???
Anyway trying to put the whole thing behind us now. He's totally fine now thank goodness........however it's knocked the stuffing out of me and I just can't stop feeling tired lol! Once again thanks for all the lovely comments......what a wonderful bunch you all are :) Oh and sorry Fizz for not reading your post properly. If I had done I would have known earlier that it is indeed possible to have a migraine without the pain. I sometimes skim through posts too quickly and miss important bits out so apologies for that.
Well on a lighter note, I haven't bought anything in ages now......well at least 10 days which is bloody good going under all this pressure :rotfl:

Honey, I hope my post didn't come across as @rsey! I just didn't want to waffle on, yet again :rotfl: Until I had ocular migraines myself I had no idea you could "suffer" without pain either. Glad that the MRI went well and hopefully, you'll have a peaceful 10 days of waiting and the results are all clear :) I think you've coped admirably with all the stress, having three brats delightful children ;) of my own plus two steps, I know that we as parents would far rather be ailing ourselves than have to see our children ill. 'Cept my DSD, sometimes :p
  • Hi everyone,

I have some INs as I managed to get a Chubby stick from the Glamour magazine amazingly! I got whoppin' watermelon which is a pale pink and really nice. Although they don't stay on that well so i'm glad I didn't pay full price. I got my other one as a GWP but as I don't wear lipstick much it's a nice subtle way in for me!
I also got the Clinique mascara from the mag as well, i'm really happy with it as it goes on really well and doesn't smudge or go bitty. Mum got one as well...only trouble is now we've got to find homes for 3 glamour magazines! I'm sure it can't be that difficult.

    Also have a GA -
Dr Ceuticals Leg tone & shimmer body lotion - GA as it's too shimmery for me. Wanted it for an every day body lotion but it's just very glittery! Good for going out perhaps but even so i'd rather not look like i'd rolled in glitter:rotfl:

Kadison I do hope you enjoy your reunion with your man, very exciting!

Honey Hugs to you (and your DS) at this time. You've done very well not to buy up the whole of Boots! I hope the girlies on the thread have been some help and comfort to you:o

Well done FizzWhizz on your graduation from soap and toothpaste! Its funny what we end up hoarding, mine seems to be fake tan that i'm too afraid to try! Although that cola bottle hand wash sounded pretty vom...lol you did well to finish it off!

Clutterfree Hope you feel a bit better soon, sending positive thoughts in your direction.

DS bedroom will finally be finished today:T He spent his first night in his 'big boy bed' last night and loved it so that was a relief. He's got a new mid-sleeper bed but he isn't struggling with the ladder so that's good.
Trying to bolster my Mum up today. She works for a small local charity and (in my opinion) feels she and another member of staff is getting bullied and picked on by the trustees of the charity. So understandably she is not looking forward to work tomorrow. Feel really sorry for her as I can't do anything really...and you know how it is if someone is horrible to your Mum!:mad::mad:

    Hi Citygirl

I'm not a solicitor but work in the employment department of a solicitor's firm. If your mum feels that she is being bullied and wants to take matters further, she should write a grievance letter and say what has been going on. If her colleague does the same hopefully something will be done about it.

Like I said I'm not a solicitor but have picked up bits and pieces from the five years I've worked where I do.

I hope things work out for her x

Thanks Lynseydee only trouble is I don't know who she would write the grievance letter to. All the trustees stick together so she can't write it to them as they'd just pass it off as they always do. I've said this to her in the past but I just don't know if she's got anywhere to turn to.
Thanks for your thoughts though, I know on this thread you can vent and there'll always be someone there to listen! :)

    honey I feel for you!

Earlier this year DD19 came down with meningitis. She'd had fluey headaches for a few days, and was up at 6 am while I was leaving for work complaining of pain in her neck. I woke up OH and asked him to call Dr. surgery when it opened at 8 am. 8:07 I get the message DD19 had been rushed to hospital with suspected meningitis! What followed was 5 days of worry. Eventually she recovered, but it was a good few weeks before I or OH felt normal again. Both of us felt like we'd been run over by a truck. A friend of mine who studies alternative medecine says it has something to do with the stress levels draining the adrenals. Afterwards we canceled all unnecessary engagements, slowed right down took the time to just be together as a family and count our blessings it wasn't worse. Hoping you feel better soon.:)
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Oh Shandy, that sounds like a really stressful time for you all and thank goodness everything worked out ok for your daughter! You have described exactly how my husband and I are feeling and I would imagine that my adrenal glands have most definitely been drained to the max! Thanks for taking the time to post your message to me it really does mean a lot :grouphug:
