I've realised another 'trigger' for me buying toiletries is 'minis'. There is just something about mini products that is so cute! The little packaging that is exactly the same as the bigger size, except in small! They get me EVERY time!
Case in point - the mini Clinique chubbies. I don't even really like Clinique, have products which are extremely similar/better quality than the chubbies - yet I went and bought 2!! Why? Because they're cute!!
Anyone else feel this way or am I just a complete weirdo?!I usually can't even bring myself to throw away the empty bottle afterwards, I just refill it with something else.

Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
I'm another weirdo as well then as I love mini products.

:rotfl:
BUT - further to my weirdness - I can't bring myself to even USE them :rotfl::rotfl:

Is this a present for you or for someone else? Either way I'm jealous as I LOVE lancome and CANNOT have enough!!
It was a present for me, bought with birthday moneyI think it was leftover stock from the Lancome Christmas deal. (I spotted one in John Lewis so some Lancome counters might have leftover stock. Mine was £25 from the Harrods sale (!) and the one in JL was priced at £30). So far I really like the Genifique serum and the eyeshadow palette most of all. Oh! And the cute mini bottle of La Vie Est Belle (it's definitely not just you that loves minis, hieveryone :rotfl: Babafette - I also refill/save mini bottles :rotfl:)
Kadison - I feel slightly guilty for laughing so much about your fridge magnet (How can I miss you when you won't go away?! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)0 -

Oh I love the magnet too!
Was it the one in the patent red case? If so I have it already, I got it on one of those 'get this for £50 when you buy...'
I went to click on my xmas saver badge to show you but I've just realised it doesn't link to the page anymore....No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

That's the one! I was so happy with it when I opened it
I love the eyeshadow palette. I feel like I'll use all the colours up (eventually!)I'm not so sure about the blush though - it looks super-pretty but once on it's a bit sparkly for me :rotfl: It's great that you used Advantage Points for yours :T

Hi everyone and welcome to all newbies. Thanks for all the lovely comments and advice regarding my son, it's much appreciated
Unfortunately last night at about 10.00pm his eyes started to burn terribly for no reason and then shortly he had a massive pain in his head! He was crying and getting very upset poor thing. We phoned the Doctor and was told to take him to A&E straight away (mainly because of last Friday's episode) so off we went in a flap and was there until 3.00am. Thankfully his head and eye pain went after taking painkillers and the doctor thought it was probably a bad migraine. Luckily his eyesight wasn't affected this time so that was a huge relief. We have the MRI scan tomorrow afternoon and I pray to God that they don't find anythingIt's a complete mystery why he has had two funny episodes in one week? When I talk to some people about what happened last Friday in regards to loosing his eyesight a couple have said that you can have a bad migraine WITHOUT the pain and that could have caused visual loss? Doesn't make sense to me but really hope it's something like that and nothing else
Anyway sorry for the doom and gloom post lol!
God after the week I've had it's been really hard not to treat myself if you know what I meanI keep on trying to talk myself out of the lovely Estee Lauder free gift with purchase on the Harrods website but it's getting increasingly difficult :rotfl:
I've had migraines since I was 5 years old with the intense pain unfortunately. My DD however had all sorts of vision problems when she was about 5/6 years old which ended up with numerous hospital visits and the conclusion in the end was migraines without the headache.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Willowbee - Clinique Moisture Surge is my HG night cream, it doesn't do anything fancy just everything I need, it sinks in and I can't feel it all after a few minutes but my combinations skin loves it.
Clutterfree - I adore the Garnier Oil Free BB Cream, it is SPF 20, the light colour is much lighter than the original BB cream they did which was way too dark for me. It glides on like a dream, gives a light coverage but best of all it is completely invisible on the skin, it is very much like my Estee Lauder Invisible Foundation or the Chanel Aqua one but without the hefty price tag.
I have a uu
Body Shop White Musk Libertine EDT 50ml - I liked this, it doesn't smell like the original White Musk, I can't really describe the scent. Only downside is it doesn't last but having said that when I get towards the end of a bottle of perfume I don't notice the scent anymore.
I am so full of cold but every cloud has a silver lining, my complete stuffiness means I cannot smell the decomposing hedgehog on the school run:rotfl:. I used my precious Molton Brown Warming Eucalyptus shower gel this morning, it is so lovely in the steam when I am stuffed up.
Willowbee - I have that Lancome Vanity set too, I like the eyeshadows apart from one which is very glittery with no colour.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi all you lovely ladies,
I can relate so much to many of the things all of you have posted. It was my plan to reply to individual points with quotes but as I am still a newbie I'm still getting my head around how to do that
Lists of items to concentrate on for using up are definitely helping me stay focused and I have benefitted by seeing lists and pictures of your project pan lists. Thank you all for posting it. I call my own items my hit list.
I can relate to getting bored with the same smells and having several items on the go. Cleaning my bathroom has become a major operation because I have to move so much stuff in order to do that.
I can relate to finding small cute bottles irresistible and then not wanting to open them when I have them.
And I can totally relate to receiving a gift box for birthday or Christmas full of things I enjoy!
True story.
As we have builders in the house my husband and I decided to go out for a bite to eat last night rather than try and cook something. I took it as an opportunity to use products on my hit list. The usual candidates like shampoo and shower gel had all been used when I showered. I have a few perfume bottles which I am not good at using up so I added a perfume to my hit list.
There I was ready to go, I had even applied some make up. A couple of squirts of DKNY BE DELICIOUS perfume which my husband bought me in a gift set about 3 Christmases ago and I have hardly used and I was ready to go. My husband came in the room and complimented me on my make up (he is a lovely man) but then asked if I had been spraying fly spray
It was the perfume. I swear he was right I was all ready to go out stinking like fly spray. I like the smell of the perfume when I smell it out of the bottle, but on me it smells truly rotten.
Hay ho. Another buying mistake. Perfume quickly removed from hit list.
Have a good afternoon all!0
