Cheers essex boy, not seeing a map though? I was hoping for a google type map showing all parks in NE,NW, Yorks & Lincs, so i can shortlist a few options that aren't too far a drive from home in Darlington, rather than having to click on each one to find out where it is. Ideally looking for the southern part of NE, North Yorks or the lake district, though i'm gonna try for Skeggy Butlins too.

The map is in the booklet that is sent with the priority code.

I therefore have your booklet with the map :D

All the parks in the areas of interest to you are along the coast line. The parks in the areas of interest to you are those parks numbered from 28, which is the most southern park in the relevant area, up to park No. 53 which is the most northern park in the relevant area, whilst park No. 47 appears to be half way between parks 28 and 53. The lower numbers are in the southern part and the higher numbers are in the northern part of the areas you are interested in.

Park No. 28 is Tattershall Lakes Holiday Park, Park No. 53 is Haven Berwick Holiday Centre and Park No. 47 is Park Resorts Cayton Bay.

I hope this helps you make your decision on alternative parks to add to your selection when booking.

Only the site could do that.
The Sun says Monday -Friday-Monday and no exceptions.

Unfortunately we are unable to change or cancel a booking once it has been received. The terms and conditions of the promotions state: “ABSOLUTELY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday application has been received by us”

I understand only the site can do that- that was the purpose of my question. I am interested to know if anyone has extended via the site for a parkdean break and what the cost was. We are looking to book somewhere quite far away and don't want to risk booking it if there is no chance we could extend. Also wondering what date it runs from what you do extend via the park

It is at the discretion of the park. No-one here can say whether or not the park you have in mind will extend or not. You will only be able to find that out after you have a booking with the park you are interested in I'm afraid.

  • I know it's the discretion and can't be guaranteed, but most companies tend to stick to a similar price for extensions/upgrades, was interested to know if anyone had extended via Parkdean, what they paid, and what days it would run from and to if applied. Eg if you book a Monday- Friday holiday and extend does it turn into a Sat-Sat holiday or does it run Mon-Mon.

My advice would be phone the park as prices and chances of getting Saturday to Saturday depends on availability
  • Hi bagpussruth, I have just joined as have been following this thread with great interest. We have been on many Sun holidays and extended a few times we have done it with a holiday park in Cornwall we booked a Mon-Fri break and extended for and extra £100 so stayed Mon-Mon, but this was only available on selected dates and would have been cheaper of we could have got an extra Fri-Mon break through the Sun but we did only book as an after thought! Also stayed with Haven and have extended our stay at a cost of £25 per night however this was out of season and I expect every park is different! Hope this helps a bit anyway!
  • Hi guys, am I in the right place for the code cracking? I am new so am not sure what to do but will help if I can?

    No its not!

I note that you were in the top accommodation though. Sun holidays are highly unlikely to allocate top accommodation, so maybe bottom of the rung is not up to the same standard as top ...

For myself I will avoid Pontins.

The advice as always is to research your park before booking on a site such as Tripadvisor.

You can upgrade with the sun holidays at Pontins. It's an extra £40 for Classic accommodation and £60 for Club. Only in Club accommodation (top) do you get free electricity and heating, discount on park activities, free breakfast, newspaper, wine.

At the end of the day, we use it as a base to see the area. Its just a bed for us. If we wanted to stay on the park all week we would rather go somewhere else.

You obviously never visited Butlins in the 70's/80's early 90's before the billions £££££ makeover then? It was exactly like Pontins now, coloured chalets, broken rides etc. Only then most of the activities were free! Back then there was no TRIPADVISOR, no internet no social media. We only now expect nice things (multi million pound makeovers, nice landscapes, accommodation) because its all we know.
