Hi there. I hear good things about butlins these days (we normally go to park resorts in Kent as my kids like their mascots/entertainment - but older now/not fussed), what your opinion on buttons Bognor?
    Thanks
I'm going on Monday for a week to Butlins Bognor.
If your kids are the age to like Park resorts they'd love Butlins.
Out of School term there's Thomas the Tank,Fireman Sam,Angelina Ballerina,Storybook Pantomine,Bob the Builder,Skyline Gang,Puppet Shows,Barnie,Billy and Bonnie,Mike the Knight and Scooby Doo Live.
    There's also live Wrestling.

Then there's the Funfair, and Waterworld,as well as the indoorplay area.
For Adults there's Ray Lewis in concert(ex lead singer of the Drifters),Blues Brothers tribute,Beatles Tribute and Queen Tribute.

Inside the School Holidays theres so much more.

What the accommodation like at butlins Skegness on a sun holiday? Only been to bognor before, booked direct and stayed in the 'wave' hotel, i assume its not as nice as that, but how basic is it?

I've never been to Butlins on a Sun Holiday before.
Only last time that I really started to use the system to my advantage.
Standard accommodation is a one bedroom chalet with two beds in the bedroom and a double pull out sofa bed in the lounge.
Personally I'm not upgrading but I'll only use it to cook quick dinners, sort pack lunches and sleep.

Hi all, some questions and advice for the experts please.

    1. I have my priority code so ..... do I need to register with the sun before I get on to book it?

    2. What do service charges include? Is it per night per stay?

    3. I'm going the Friday 24th October half term so what do you think my chances are for mid wales? (I know you're not Nostradamus just asking for advice)

    4. How many can I book for? We have 4 children and would like grandparents to come. Will I have to book them on in an extra caravan?

    Thanks all

1.No,you just need to use the priority booking office
    https://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/

    2.There's two sites.
    .Park Resorts Brynowen
Service Charge £7 per unit per night

Clubroom Passes £5 per person per £9.50 break - £6 per person per £15 break - Passes FREE on breaks starting 26, 29 September.

    Quay West
Service Charge £7.95 per unit per night
Entertainment Plus Pass £9 per person per £9.50 break - £10 per person per £15 break - Under 5s FREE -

2a)There would also be extra charge for linen hire unless you take your own.
Entertainment passes and linen hire can be taken off the final amount.

3.As there's only two sites chances could be limited, but helped by the fact you want Friday-Monday while most will want Monday-Friday.
Though there would be a few number trying for the week.
All I can advise is get in fast.

4.If there's around 8 of you you would need 2 caravans, unless you're willing for two to sleep in the lounge on the sofas.
You'd also need to book for the 6 then add the extra people when phoning to pay the final amount.

    Same option.

Some European parks will also ask for a £100 refundable cleaning/damage waiver deposit. Instead you can opt to pay for an Equipment Damage Waiver guarantee for £15 per booking, but this is non-refundable.

Been on many European breaks via Sun, always decline the £15 damage waiver and NEVER paid the £100 refundable deposit on the site, never even been asked for it. Only one site, Le Chene Gris asked but also offered instead to take copy of passport without any fuss being made by me or them, but they are not affiliated with Eurocamp/Canvas etc they are own separate Dutch company.

Same here. Never been asked for it either on any of the European sites.
