    That sounds migraine inducing

I had a gold lurex slash neck top and a turquoise satin crinkled dinner jacket, long bleached hair with red and black stripes in and backcombed until vertical, we were all young once, this was the late 80's, I wanted to look like Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks :) My stuff was pennies from a charity shop though :D

What a pair we would have looked... Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhh ;)

    Semen! :D

Or to be specific, a straw of frozen semen to AI a broodmare, to produce a foal which turned out to have a condition which has cost me maybe £20k in (uninsured) vet bills.

Having said that, I love her and wouldn't be without her.

    :D

They sell semen in straws? I'm assuming you don't blow down one end to "complete the transaction"!!???!!

My biggest expenditure is wedding dresses, ive been married three times!

My brothers biggest expenditure - x file cards, his 'broker' in London used to ring him with good ones to buy....

My mam and dad's biggest expenditure, £800 on an apple computer to 'skype' they don't even know what that is, and never use the thing!!

Ahhhh... The wonderful world of trading cards, I'd forgotten about those...

I spent £300 on a complete set of Garbage Pail kids collector cards about 6 years ago only to have my youngest niece cut "the ugly babies" out :( still, it kept her quiet for an hour or so...

A beautiful, but very 'dressy' dress that cost £80 (a fortune by my usual standards!) that's so glamorous I've only had occasion to wear twice, and one of those times was to a pub, when I was determined to celebrate my birthday in style! My OH is the worst demon around here for gadgets - the biggest waste of money was a very smart telescope that was several hundreds of pounds that he must have used perhaps ten times in total over the past five years. I told him so at the time, but he insisted I was wrong. His latest secret yearning is for a head-cam for his skiing helmet. As he manages about ten days' a year in total, and has every other bit of kit imaginable, I'm fighting a losing battle on the 'What on earth will you use it for?' front, but I'm persevering.

I regret buying the odd bits and pieces on Farmville. I feel so stupid but I needed that pink unicorn! :o
  • A £100 graphic calculator to help with my A-Level Maths. I never figured out how to use it, ended up taking my crappy £5 calculator into the exam, and came out with an E :rotfl:
