Thanks everyone. I'm going to go to the walk-in centre tomorrow. First sign of any symptoms tonight I'll ring for an ambulance.

In the mean time I've stocked up on aspirin :)

    So pleased to hear that.

I had not realised that walk in centres operate at weekends too, so I've learned something useful. I checked our local one, and it's open 8-21 every day.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

In with as it is an old favourite. My neighbour has sewn Velcro only on my dressing gowns. I want to wear my normalclothes. Out of work tops, gilets , jeans and clogs. Jeans are the problem along with bra's cannot do bra's one handed even sports bra's are tricky

I do expect to do well and get back most functionality it will just take time and a lot of practice. I am learning to be patient.

So pleased to hear how well you are progressing. DW sends her love. If there's anything she can do, please let us know.

The lack of funding of walk in centres is a great shame in my view. There used to be one at canary wharf - shut down a couple of years back now, was much better than any GP surgery I have ever been in.

Great stuff. What is important is the end result, not so much how quickly you get there.

I was a bit surprised too. I think it'll be busy on a Saturday, but it's not like I've got plans :p Take a book, I think!

Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Thank you for your support. Now all we need is to find some luminous paint that isn't incredibly toxic, and we can make a start. LIR will be able to find Kiwi in the dark, and it should do something to deter drunk driving - when drivers see a small luminous dog appearing from the hedge.

Forgot to ask - even if I planted them in May?

I've kind of abandoned the garden for the past few weeks :o. The next few weeks it's going to be even more difficult - impossible - for me to get out there. I'll have to start again next year. It makes me feel a bit sad as I love spending time out there (esp when it's nice and warm and sunny though...). Hoping to cut the grass for the last time this yr tomorrow eve (think I need to do it before the weekend?).

It does depend on the variety - mine were Charlotte, which are fairly well behaved, but it really won't matter if you don't get them up in the next week or two.

Good luck for today ay Yorkie, by the end you will be wondering why you doubted yourself.

    Thanks bugslet.

I had an awful night; every time I lay down to try to go to sleep, I had a panic attack. My mind wouldn't switch off and a meditation app on my phone didn't work either.

In the end I left the TV on all night with R5L playing, and got a few hours' sleep.

The day went OK, which I think I knew it would, although I'm feeling out of my comfort zone and it's pushing 'buttons' from when I was growing up about getting things 100% right.

Doozer/Lydia, cards have pride of place in the bay window. I love peas!

    I got a theramin :D

Is that the instrument used to record the Midsomer Murders theme tune?! :D

Good to hear from you Spirit :) Sounds like you're making good progress.

Things are a bit mixed here. Had quite bad chest pains last night. I've had similar twinges before but last night I had pains in my left arm, felt breathless. Probably should have called an ambulance. I'm here to tell the tale anyway, the pain faded and I went to bed. If it happens again I think I'll go to A&E. I booked an appointment at the doctor's but that's not till the 15th  I might not make it till then! There's a walk-in centre in town which I might go to.

On the plus side, I've got the house to myself tonight, which is a pretty rare treat :) I'd rather be out enjoying myself, but I'll take a relaxed night in.
Ring nhs direct . They saved my life when I wasbreathlessand And they called an ambulance I then had emergency cardiac by pass
There won't be consultant cover in most a&e after about 11pm tonight
So if you go in under your own steam do it first thing tomorrow for a. Morepleasant experience and consultant availability.

    Velcro's good.

Any loose tops without fixings are good ... just unattractive :)

Skirts with elasticated waistbands are doable.

I have to think what mum can manage when I buy her clothes, so tops with a wide/large neck area and no buttons.

Jeans - I'd look at elasticated waist ones, or those jeggings.

Bras - there are some that have no fixings. Those modern bras that are like tight crop tops have no fixings.
