Just watch "Benefits House" on Ch5. Groan.
Now watching "no foreigners here" about Cheetam Hill in Manchester. All those interviewed so far have been moslems working in Kosher restaurants, planning lavish moslem weddings (think gypsy weddings).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. One poorly labelled spreadsheet now has it's experiment identified (not the one from last night, another one
)...
And there is cake in the office, so a slice of cake consumed (that one was rather easier to achieve!)
Yay!!
Well done. Glad to hear progress is being made. :TSo... what are they like? Are they as you expected them to be? (I guess this is the first time any of you met each other?)
Very jealous! Sounds a lot better than a day staring at dots on a screen (and I was on holiday too... would have preferred a day out!).
They are both lovely - just as easy to get on with IRL as they are online, except that they have faces. Just spending time with friends who've known each other for ages - very comfortable.lostinrates wrote: »Surely you want a fish tank in the downstairs loo so you can wave out through the fish into the hallway? It wouldn't be so awful were it done really, really well.
OK, I give in. I need to watch this on catch up. Somebody please tell me what show I should be looking up? Thanks.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Spirit!! How lovely to hear from you. :j
So glad you are able to post. Hope you are giving the oldies a fabulous fun-filled time having somebody young and glamorous amongst them.
Wish you had indeed said Disraeli with a video camera to record their reactions!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Still, good luck to him!
I don't understand any of this (I'm 66 and female) but I thank as I assume it's useful for some of the Nice People... Is there anything I could look at to get any understanding? Bare in mind I'm fairly cognitively Kaput, need what you'd explain to a 6 year old.
But don't worry if it's time thingy stuff that takes ages. I may well not understand anyway, so really don't want you to spend time trying to explain stuff that I prob won't understand anyway.0 -

I think it's some kind of smart phone app for hooking up with people. It tells you if other members are nearby so you can arrange to meet them if you're interested. I gather from chewy's post that you put a pic of yourself on for other people to decide whether they like the look of you. Chewy felt that the man whose activity was so easily visible to him was being overambitious about his own charms compared with the desirability of the young women he was picking.
Does that help?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Look, let's assume its not useful for nice people and nice people are capable of picking up one nighters in the good old fashioned way.......
I mean, of all of us one assumes I'm the one people might assume would go for it and I think its yucky,0 -

Hello Spirit!
Lovely to see youEspecially on Spirit Thursday
Hope you manage to get home next week - even if you were well over 65 (which you are far from), I'd guess you'd be a lot younger (age and Spirit) than the other residents. Think I'd have gone even further back and said Cromwell (I know wasn't a PM) or something.
Big hugs :grouphug: xxx0 -
Lydia , I don't know what the show was called, it was on bbc 1 at eight0
